Something wrong with my MCB

Hi all,

Lately my house always suffer power trip randomly; e.g. not because of lightning or switch on appliance. Example; this morning around 4am power trip again.

MCB/ELCB did not trip; but the outside fuse near TNB meter blown. Always happened this way. Usually I replaced this fuse; but it will randomly happened again.

Any idea why it trip this way? And is it normal if I switch off MCB but TNB meter still show movement (very slow)?

How to use only 1 hdd for RAID1 hot swap

Hi all, I have an IBM xseries 225 with 2 scsi hdd, configured in RAID1 and are hot swappable.

The problem is, one of the hdd failed (no lights at all, and also cannot boot to OS). I dont have any spare hdd right now.

If i remove the failed hdd, will it work as normal?

Hi all,

I'm planning to implement a fiber optic connection between buildings at my company. Details as below:

Building A -----(400m)----Building B-----(500m)----Building C

What type of network equipment do I need at Building B; since it is in the middle? Do I need 2 switches with fiber converter or 1 will suffice?

I know vendors will propose the setup but I'm currently at the planning stage, and need to estimate the cost to present to my superior. Pls assist, thanx.

Setting up Linksys router with Streamyx IP

Hi all,

I want to setup my linksys (BEFVP41) to connect to streamyx using static IP (enterprise account).

In the basic settings page; i need to enter the static IP given by tmnet, subnet mask and dns.

Do i need to enter the gateway address?
