Do i need to withdraw the police report?

He got his money back after 2 months lodging a police report. I got scammed by the same person (i think) in August 2011 and lodge a police report not long after that. Although the amount is not as much as raja epul's, but it is still my money

I got a call this evening from a guy and he said that he is Quah Ban Hong. He said that his friend used his bank account to cheat me and that person now is in KL. He asked me to join forces to find that guy. Then he said that he will use his money first to pay back my money and asked my account number. He said, he will bank in the money on 20th because its not his 'pay check' day yet.

But before that, he asked me to withdraw the police report by this week since the police will come and find him next week (if i'm not mistaken). Also, he said that he got problem with his PTPTN due to the report. He promised to pay the money by 20th but asked me to withdraw the report first.

I consult with my friend and he told me to ignore the phone calls and SMSs and just let the police officers do their job. Maybe he afraid that i will be cheated again.

Now i'm in dilemma...whether to believe this guy and give my account number or follow my friend's advice to ignore his phone calls and SMSs.

p/s : actually, i pity this guy..what will happen to his ptptn and college..
