Guys, I'm currently an engineering student which my course requires me to run Autodesk Inventor, AutoCad 2D, AutoCad 3D and also AnSys.

The problem is that my current laptop is still serving fine (Lenovo Ideapad Y450 without graphics card) but my current semester and further on requires me to shop for another laptop due to load of programmes I'm gonna be using this semester onwards...

Can I get some suggestions about what models to buy?

Model: Recommend me please (Lecturer Recommended ASUS)

Budget wise should be about 2.5K

Minimum requirement is to have 2GB RAM for the Graphics Card..

Any help guys?? Appreciate it very much!! =D

It all started a week or two back...
I was driving normally around city and LDP just like how I've been driving the day since I first got my license..
HARDLY FULL THROTTLE my 5++ yr old Honda City CVT UNLESS I'm overtaking a car....

Problem starts when I'm starting to accelerate from a STOP, there's a GRINDING NOISE coming from the FRONT LEFT SIDE of my car...but there's a catch...

FROM a FULL STOP,
------> Light Throttle, whereby the RPM stays at 2K, there isn't any unusual grinding noise from the left front
------> Hard Throttle, whereby the RPM is above 3K and rising, the GRINDING NOISE can be heard clearly and the noise is intermitent which goes "krooock......krooock.....kroooooooooocckkk" until I release the throttle and pedal lightly...

when cruising at any speed, REGARDLESS of the pedal input, the sound wouldn't appear...
It only appears when I accelerate HARD from STOP

Really Appreciate All Sifu's help...

Below are my car's mod info:

Model: Honda City 1.5 VTEC 4G
Engine: Stock standard but with GC+VS
Transmission: Stock CVT Transmission with frequent CVT oil change (recent change on 2/3/12)
Chassis: 2 Point UR bar in engine bay, 4 Point UR Lower Strut Bar, UR ARB (old version)
Suspension: Stock Standard with one leaky abosorber (replacing it this weekend,doubt its the cause)
Brakes: Stock Standard rotors and pads (pads are about 30% left, due for change this weekend)
Wheels: Stock Standard Rims + Goodyear NCT5 185/55/R15 with 80% thread (bought brand new 2 mths ago)
Milleage: 87K...
Exterior Mods: NONE

I am driving a 1990 8V MANUAL saga passed down from my dad...its average fuel consumption is about 15-17 cents/km....however,since the day that my mechanic adjusted my valve tapet, the consumption went sky high....20 cents/km-----> THATS EQUIV. TO MY DAD'S 2.0P INSPIRA...any advice? is it because of the adjusment done? coz my mechanic said that last time there was some noise and he adjusted the valve tapet. the engine noise during idling has became much more quiet. Furthermore, the idle RPM remains the same which i suppose that it doesn't consume much fuel.....ANY ADVICE??

I miss the great FC of that car and I love the car very much. It accompanied me since I was born till this very seconf..I really appreciate your help here as I dont want to hate driving that car because of the FC... thank you!
