Laptop Auto Shuts Down Without Warning

My Asus laptop recently encountered an issue, where if I start it up on battery power it shuts down abruptly right after booting up. If it is started up while plugged into a power point, it is alright. So what could be the issue?

Vintage McIntosh audio amplifiers.

Hello!

I recently inherited a set of vintage McIntosh C27 Stereo Preamplifier and MC2125 Power Amplifier together with a pair of JBL CF120 speakers.

Upon switching on "humming" sound is heard. Where is the sound coming from? Pre-amp or power amp?

As I’m not familiar with audio equipment, what could be the problem? Where can I get it repaired and what will be the cost like?
Soundproofing PVC pipes

My house is more than 40 years old and I recently replaced the metal sewage drain pipes which have rusted with pvc ones.

I have two upstairs toilets. The pvc drain pipes are located inside built-in cabinets at major entertainment area in my home. When the toilets are flushed from upstairs, it sounds very loud in my dining room and family room.

What would you use to soundproof/deaden this sound?
What types of material do I use to wrap around the pipes?

Thanks!
SProtector 1.66.1133 Problem

My Google Chrome recently encountered this software incompatibility problem. It says:

SProtector 1.66.1133
This module is known to conflict with Google Chrome. If you are experiencing frequent problems, you could try the following to resolve the issue with this module: Uninstalling

Besides uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, is there any other way to get rid of this? My Chrome was also crashing quite often after this problem came up. I used UnHackMe software to remove it, but it doesn't work.

Changing Tyres Soon

I'm a noob on tyres, and need some advice.

I noticed that the Continental CC5 has different tread design. Some has 4 ribs, while some has 5. Why is this so?

I'm also planning to change tyres, but don't know what to get. I'm comparing between the CC5, Yokohama C-Drive 2 and Hankook V12 Evo. Which has the best performance in the wet?
