I just saw this scholarship offered by JPA to those who completed their SPM in year 2007.
And.... How could I do not know about this scholarship??
I was a student who completed my SPM in 2007 and scored 9a's. ==
Anyway, everything is too late now.
But I would still love to know the details about this scholarship.
Does anyone know about it?
Is it only for those who entered STPM or Matriculation?
Thanks.

Is the quality there?

I am thinking to go Taylor's University for International Business and I saw quite a lot of the threads in Lowyat.net saying that Taylor's is only for those filthy rich kids.==
I am not a rich person but a partial scholarship holder.
I am afraid that the quality is not satisfactory in Taylor's Business School and hence, my parents' hard-earned money will be wasted.
A cheaper choice would be KDU.
People said the quality of the degrees between these two institutes don't make a big difference?
So, would love to ask those who are studying in taylor's or KDU, what's your view regarding the quality issue i have mentioned?
Did you get what you have already paid?
Which university I should choose?

Hello everyone,

I am from the northern region and currently looking for university/college to pursue my degree studies in International Business.
However, I have found out some institutes which I am not really sure which one should I enroll into.
I have Taylor's University, KDU Penang and Disted College(Penang) in mind.

Actually my primary choice is Taylor's University and they have already awarded me a scholarship worths 4.5k per annum or in short I only need to pay apx 65k for my degree.
But what i am thinking is that, I need to travel down to KL which is totally a new environment for me to survive.
In facts, the monthly expenses is bloody expensive!

For KDU Penang and Disted College, they are near to my hometown and the fees are quite affordable which will cost me about 45-50k for a degree.
In facts, I am familiar with Penang and I can always be home.
Moreover, the monthly expenses is lower.
Besides, by referring to the course structure, I will only need to take 4 subjects per semester in Disted rather than taking 5 Subjects per sem in Taylor's.
Am wondering would this help me to score better? XD

OK be honest, I love the environment in Taylor's University and yes, I trust its teaching quality too.
After paying a visit, I don't really fond of the environment in Disted and KDU.
They provide mainly diploma programs and there are only a few degree programmes they offer.
I am afraid that I will not be trained well enough to step into the working industry if I were to study in either one of the colleges in Penang. (Not professional enough? Lack of facilities?) No offence, personal view. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I'm struggling whether to spend more money each month and live in a new environment or spend less and live nearer to my hometown.
What's your views?
Please share with me your opinions.
Thank you.

Bachelor Degree in Marketing

Hi all,

I am planning to enroll myself for a Bachelor degree in Marketing.
Primarily i set Monash as my primary choice.
However, I am afraid that I have missed out any other institute that is good in this course.
So, does anyone of you here have suggestions on which university/college is skilled with this course?
Or, maybe it's more or less the same in every institute for this course?
Thanks a million.

Monash/Sunway/INTI/Taylors/others

A new question : what makes a difference to my future career by comparing a cert from Taylor's, Sunway, monash if I were to take a degree in commerce major in marketing. My friend said it's not needed to invest too much of money for a business degree. );

Hey guys,

I will be starting my course for a degree in Marketing next year February/January.
However, there are four institutions in my mind right now and i have no idea which one to choose.
So let me summarize my point of views first,

For Monash,
I kinda love the environment there, however, many of my friends told me that it's not easy to grad from Monash. (High failing rate or what? i don't know, anyone can tell me more bout this?)
The course structure there is kinda mess for me. ( I will choose for a degree with double majors in marketing & management and i dont know what to choose for the remaining units.)
The course fees to enroll a course in Monash is exp too and the living expenses is high.
(93k for a 3-year-course.)
Lota ppl told me that a cert from Monash is useful to brighten my future.

For Sunway UC,
I'm not really fond of the environment there (personal comment, no offense).
However, the course structure is quite acceptable, a double majors degree marketing & international trade. (from victoria university)
The fees for it is much more cheaper than Monash's. (69k)
The living expenses should be the same as if i enroll my course in Monash.

INTI subang jaya,
The course structure is good, environment so so only, afforable fees (65k)
BUT, six months a sem! totally dun like this, break for only 2 weeks if not mistaken.
Living expenses should be the same as in Sunway UC and Monash.

Taylors
Course structure is not very good as i have to force myself to choose 7 electives from other UniSA degrees BUT finance and accounting are both not my field. ):
Environment is good, fees are beyond average, 79K.

so now, any comment for my choice?
I desperately need your comments as i have no idea which one to choose.
Or maybe other institutions that you can recommend me?
i have viewed the difference between an honor degree and non-honor degree, however, i found that in malaysia, there're still perceptions on non-honor degree. Frankly speaking, am i more advised to take a UK degree or an Australian degree?
Thanks a million for the help.

Ciao.

A degree in Marketing, is it really that bad?

Hi guys,

I am planning to enroll for a degree course majors in Marketing.
However, i heard a lot of negative issues regarding this course.
Many of them said that by holding this degree cert in hand, i will end up doing sales like those spm leaver.
they even said that it's better not holding a degree in marketing and i can start doing sales now. )':
this has totally stopped me to think bout it.
Before that, i was doing research in the internet and i found that a degree in marketing can actually let me to do something like branding a product or even proposing ideas on the promotion of new products.
I am more interested to this field since i am a creative person who loves to give new ideas.
Any comment about a degree in Marketing?

Update: An education agent suggested me Grififth College in Dublin for a marketing degree, any comment bout this?
P/s: The fees in Dublin is afforable, 100k for a course.
