hi all, need some suggestions from u guys...iam considering to buy a basic comp for net surfing and MS office use oni...

However, the budget is oni RM 1000....im afraid if i chosen a proc and motherboard, they will not match although both are cheap...

as per the topic above....i'd like to get advice from u guys on why does this problem occur??

It loads quickly when the comp is new...and after few months....the internet window will not load as quick...and sometimes take approx 1 min to open....kinda weird...

Any remedy on this problem...?? TQ

im unsure why my comp cant play crysis..
the systems are
2gb ram, ati 3870 ddr4, done directX setting(previously said need the d10_35.dll file)

i am unable to play it...coz once i click on the icon on the desktop, the monitor will go black for a while...then jump back to desktop

whats ur suggestions??tq

the credit of my line(hotlink) has dropped tremendously since i used iphone. it seems that it is using the EDGE service although i am using wifi access point of my house and oso the college's wifi....are there anyways to turn off the EDGE service?? i checked the Edge network data and it seems like its increasing without me noticing it....very strange....anyway i could off or unsubscribe the EDGE for hotlink?? thank you

1) hi guys, how long can a laptop be left power "on" to download files and movies?

2) does a laptop cooler help?

3) i will usually set the power function to off my laptop monitor after 30 minutes, but if i set the hard disk to turn off after 30 minutes, will it continue to download my file? i did this so that it will minimize power consumption while downloading torrent file

4) if i set the laptop to hibernate or standby after 1 hour, will it continue to download files ?

differences of switch, router & wifi router

i am confused by few recommendations by computer shops

i asked few computer shops bout the difference between switch and wifi router

one shop said that if i use wifi router, the speed can be maintained lets say, my connection speed is 500, the speed will maintain eventough i surf the net using 2 or 3 laptops...

but many of them said that it is the same theory as swith or normal router...where the it will break down the speed by apportioning it into first come first serve basis...lets say, comp 1(200kbit), comp 2(150kbits), comp 3(150kbits)...

which one is true??
