Hey Guys,

I have this particular setup:

PC A (Server)
Windows 7
Hardisk A (Internal, Windows Installed)
Hardisk B (Internal, for storage)
Hardisk C (External, for storage)

PC B
Windows XP

PC C
Vista

PC D
Windows 7

Problem:
Ok I shared out all 3 harddisk in PC A using the same method

All the clients pc (PC B, PC C, PC D) are all able to connect to harddisk A and C. When any of them tries to connect to harddisk B, there is a permission problem saying its not shared.

Any idea where you all can help to resolve this issue?

hey guys,

I have this funny situation where.. i have a PC and i have a notebook.

1. When i do a ping from the PC to the notebook, the ping is ok, no issue.
2. When i do a ping from notebook to PC, the ping fails saying request time out.

So this seems kind of weird so i did a packet trace using wireshark

results from wireshark, case 2 above.

a. notebook sends ping request to PC
b. PC receives the ping request
c. PC doesn't send a ping reply.
d. Note book ping times out

I am not sure why doesn't the PC sends a ping reply eventhough it has received a request. Any idea ppl?
