Upgraded Unifi to 30Mbps, Desktop Speed at 10

Hey guys,

I recently upgraded from vip 10 to unifi 30.

I'm using a TP-Link WDR4300 router.

So the thing is, my laptop gets the supposed 30mbps speeds wth WiFi.

But my Desktop connected to the router by LAN only gets 10bmps speeds.

Resetting the router gets me 30mbps speeds for about 5 minutes before it goes back down to 10.

Cat5 cable, Bandwith Control not enabled on router.

Please help me sifuss. At my wits end.

Where to find Orthopedic Pet Beds?

My pet labrador is getting old and I read that orthopedic beds would help them sleep better.

Is this true?

Could you guys also suggest / recommend me places where I can actually buy orthopedic pet beds?

I don't even know where to start looking for it.

No display when connecting GTX 460 to AV Receiver

Hi all sifus, hope you all can help me.

Using an Asus GTX 460 Top, bought a HDMI C to HDMI A cable to connect it to an Onkyo TX-SR806 which is connected to the TV.

Problem is, when connected to the AVR, Win 7 screen resolution page actually lists out display 2 as "Onkyo TX-SR806" but there is no image on the TV. Just a black screen.

I tried duplicating image, extending display also no use.

When I look at the AVR, which the GPU is connected to on the "Game/TV" input, it keeps on switching between "analog" and "HDMI" signal. Like, constantly switching. So no display at all.

When I play a movie file, windows sound settings shows the Onkyo Volume Bar going up and down but from AVR Speakers no sound.

So I tried just straight connect my PC to TV only, bypass AVR. Still no display at all.

Could my mini HDMI port be spoiled or is this cable defect? Just received cable today.

AVR ports are working. I connected my laptop to the "Game/TV" input, it works. But that one is HDMI A to A cable.

Display drivers baru updated today.

Please help ah sifus.

[WTA] Where to send an old Canon Lens for repair?

Heya guys, I was wondering if you guys could help me out here.

I have a really old Canon L Lens (EF20-35mm F2.8 L) which my friend dropped a while ago. There's an internal crack on the front part of the lens and it has fungus also (My heart breaks as I type this)

Do you think Canon would still service / fix it? If so, could you guys tell me where to send it?

Can't startup with USB devices plugged in

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I currently have 3 USB devices constantly plugged into my computer.

1 x Sidewinder Mouse
1 x Logitech G15 Keyboard
1 x USB 3.0 Buffalo 1.5 TB Ext. HDD

I have noticed that when I try to start up my computer with all three devices plugged in, I can only get past the initial post screen, but can't reach the "Windows is now starting" screen.
The pc will just suddenly lose power and then restart by itself.

The process repeats itself constantly, getting past the post screen, then losing power and on and on.

When I only plug in the mouse, I can get to the desktop. Then I plug in the keyboard and Ext. HDD and everything's fine.

Problems connecting front Audio/Mic ports

Hiya guys.

I bought a FrontX panel from another Lowyatian recently because my casing doesn't have any front I/O ports. The one I bought was a bundle FrontX unit by DFI for their older motherboards.

The other ports (USB/Firewire) work fine but I have trouble getting the front Audio/Mic ports detected. No sound comes out when I plug my headphones into the FrontX ports.

The problem is, the colour codes for the FrontX Audio/Mic ports I have do not correspond to the one on the website. Maybe because it's an old model ?

As such, my Audio/Mic port has 1 black wire (Ground), 2 Reds, 1 White, 1 Green and 1 Yellow wire. I have no idea where they should go on the Bernstein Audio Module.

Please help me sifus.

PC mysteriously goes blank and freezes

Hullo guys. I'm having a frustrating problem here with my computer. I'll be using it as usual when suddenly the whole monitor goes blank. The monitor says "No signal found", Windows itself freezes, but the whole rig - Fans, hdd and stuff is still running.

So I shutdown the pc. Sometimes I'm able to boot up again, other times, the whole cpu is running, except nothing shows on the monitor. If I am able to boot up again, it's only a matter of time till the same thing happens again - monitor going blank and Windows freezes.

Based on my mobo's POST LED codes (DFI UT X58 mobo), sometimes I fail to startup due to Ram modules having to be reinserted, power being lost to come devices and incorrect bios data. (I've rechecked and did my best to fix those problems, and sometimes I am able to bootup, but in the end, it will still go blank and freeze)

Aside from the POST LED Codes, sometimes, during the POST screen itself, it says "Bootup failed, please insert system disc" or "Overclocking failed". I've never overclocked and I tried loading the optimized default bios settings and also resetting the cmos on seperate occasions. Again, sometimes I am able to bootup. Other times, nothing is shown on the monitor. Any help is very much appreciated. It's just so frustrating to be playing a game or typing up an assignment and having the whole thing just suddenly go blank. Currently, I am typing this on the problem pc itself. I can feel the suspense. Sooner or later I'll get a blank screen again. It's just horrifying O_O.

Well..the other day, my friend tossed me my thumb drive from a distance. He threw it quite high into the air. The thumb drive was really small so it got blown by the wind and I couldn't catch it. It dropped onto the cement floor...Hard.

So now, when I plug it into my computer, it's not detected anymore.

Can you guys please give me any suggestions on how to fix it ? Barring that, any place in Lowyat Plaza I can go to to get it fixed ?

The thumb drive has all my college notes inside >_<

PC won't start up / Autoshutdowns

Hey guys. Really hope you can help me out here. I'll just list down my specs. It's an old comp

Intel Pentium 4 530 @ 3.00ghz
MSI-7028 P-915 motherboard
Icute 450W PSU
3 Gb DDR2 Ram
1 Tb + 160 GB HDD
Asus 9600GT gfx card

I have 2 really really annoying and frustrating problems.

First of all, my computer does not start up easily. I push the power button, and no lights come on. After several retries, my pc does eventually boot up. But suddenly, it'll just turn off. Just like that. Then, the computer will turn itself on again, and then it'll suddenly shut down again. As if struck by lightning. This goes on for a while. Finally, If I get lucky, Windows will finally boot up.

So, to summarise my first problem, my computer doesn't always boot up. POST shows no problems. It suddenly shuts itself down completely when starting up.

My second problem. If I'm really lucky I'll be able to get to Windows. However, the problems don't end there. My computer will still suddenly shut down all of a sudden. This is different from when I'm booting up. When I'm booting up, the PC shutdowns completely, as if in a blackout. If I do get to Windows, the PC shutdowns in a way that's as if I myself shut it down. All my programs will close down and I'll get to the "Windows is saving your settings","Windows is now shutting down" screen. Occasionally, I'll get an error such as "<Insert application name here> has encountered an error and is not responding" and I can choose to "end now". Once I click that, poof, the computer shuts down. Other times, it shuts itself down without showing any errors. The applications that have encountered "Errors" range from steam.exe,ccapp.exe and utorrent.exe.

So, second problem. Computer shuts itself down when I manage to get to Windows. It's like a proper shut down, only I didn't initiate it. I've tried using system restore, thinking I've been infected, but it doesn't work. Spybot and Ad-Aware detected normal spyware and I've removed them, but the problem still persists.

Please help.

This is not like the ordinary prom or party because our profit based on ticket sales goes to the charity ;D How often do you get to party and donate to the unfortunate all in one night right?

Trouble with DMC3 SE for pc

Aight..I know that I shouldn't be playing a gdanged port...but I can't buy a PS2 *cries*..so I snatched the game as soon as it came out....And then I didn't play it..cause I wanted to play it with a gamepad..And now I've Got one heh..Logitech ChillStream..Trouble is..I can't make the game configure it properly..worse still..I can only move with the right analog stick..the left analog stick doesn't function..Can anyone please help me or give me instructions as to how to fix this ?..Using the external Gpad config from patch v1.1 doesn't work as it isn't supported..

Any help is much appreciated =)
