            <title>Sendmail STARTTLS</title>

            <description>Hi all,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have the following server running as a mail relay server: -&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CentOS 4.2 &lt;br /&gt;Sendmail 8.13.1 with STARTTLS&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had purchased a certificate from Thawte.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I configured all the necessary thing in my sendmail.mc as below for STARTTLS support: -&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;define(`CERT_DIR&amp;#39;, `/etc/mail/certs&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confSERVER_CERT&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/host.cert&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confSERVER_KEY&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/host.key&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confCLIENT_CERT&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/host.cert&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confCLIENT_KEY&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/host.key&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confCACERT&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/cacert.pem&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;define(`confCACERT_PATH&amp;#39;, `CERT_DIR/CA&amp;#39;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Restarting Sendmail is without any error message.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I test sending an email to a remote Sendmail server with STARTTLS, I got the following message below: -&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=FAIL&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why verify=FAIL?   &lt;!--emo&amp;:stars:--&gt;&lt;img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/rclxub.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rclxub.gif' /&gt;&lt;!--endemo--&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can anybody here help me?   &lt;!--emo&amp;:respect:--&gt;&lt;img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='notworthy.gif' /&gt;&lt;!--endemo--&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;r00ted&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;</description>
