Hi all, I bought a Samsung Gear S2 USA set (open box) from [@kanine5] on Saturday. I was told by the seller that it is a new unit with no issues. When I queried about the warranty, he told me that he had checked with Samsung Malaysia that I could pay for a Samsung MY warranty if I'd like to do that.

During COD we sat down at Starbucks for approximately 5 minutes to check if the watch could sync to my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 which it did. We closed the deal and parted ways. However, when I reached home and switched on the maps app I immediately spotted a dead pixel on the screen. It was not spotted during the syncing process because the background of the screen was pitch black.I immediately contacted the seller regarding this matter and he implied that I caused the dead pixel and did not offer much help.

I went to Samsung shop and eventually a service center in One Utama only to be told that I couldn't purchase a local warranty. When I approached the seller for solution this morning he again implied that I actually caused the dead pixel. He advised me to send the watch back to USA for warranty claim and the shipping cost would be paid by myself. I counter-proposed for him to help me get the local warranty which he said was possible and for the cost to be shared by the two of us. He refused and here I am typing this post for which I promised I would tag him. I am keeping this watch but I just felt cheated because I was promised a new unit with no issue but I didnt get what I paid for. Furthermore, the seller has been less than helpful in this case. To rub salt into wound, he accused me for causing the dead pixel which is kinda absurd.
