MARA allocated RM2 billion under Budget 2019

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) will be allocated RM2 billion next year to finance its students studying locally and abroad.

Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun said the allocation was the same as this year.

"For MARA, the budget will enable the local and foreign sponsorships of students to be approved.

"In terms of education, we also obtained the allocation we requested for the streamlining of Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) as well as other items we sought for to improve the quality of MARA,” she told Bernama at the 2018 MARA Appreciation Night tonight.

The ceremony was held to entertain MARA employees and retirees who had served between 25 to 40 years.

Every time i use smarttag lane confirm got some 'actor' who will 'misplace' their card or theiy card will kurang nilai one. Then they will rummage their car acting like their card has fallen on their floor. At the end, they inconvenient the cars behind them and can cause accident. I know their intention to 'act' is mainly so that an unfortunate car behind them will open the gate for them.

While i acknowledge we do forget things, toll operators should keep a record of those who act then saman them after 3 offences in a year.

BANGKOK: The Malaysian civil service is not as efficient as it was before because it is now manned by more junior staff, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The Prime Minister claimed that this was because the previous Barisan Nasional-led administration has "destroyed the whole machinery of the government".

He also claimed that some senior officers had blatantly campaigned for Barisan and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

He said that this posed a problem for the existing Pakatan Harapan administration.

"Can we retain such people in the government? Of course not.

"Besides that, a lot wrongdoing has been conducted. So we have to get rid of them," he said.

"The government is now staffed by very junior people and naturally, they are not as efficient as the seniors – but we have no choice," said Dr Mahathir at a question and answer session with the Malaysian diaspora here on Thursday (Oct 25).

He added that the newly-elected government had been forced to "work harder" to ensure work is done as instructed.

Dr Mahathir also said that the government also has new ministers who do not have previous experience being Cabinet members.

"They are a little unsure of their footing (gayat) and are not comfortable. But I hope that over time, our government will be able to handle the problems faced by the country," he added.

Scary man. Jump companies from time to time. In every company I join they will ask me if I know mandarin after working for some time because they want to tap into the China market. Shit man, at the ratee things go i think in 10-20 yearse time 70% of jobstreet jobs all need mandarin speaking.
