Background:
-> The CFL G24 bulb dont really last, maybe 6 to 12 months it will give up. I have 15 fixtures with 2 bulb inside.
-> Therefore I would like to change into LED type bulb which has a longer lifespan and lower power consumption

Goal:
-> If possible I would like to keep the fixture just changing the holder to E27 but that stil require to dissemble the fixture.

Roadblocks:
(1) As far as the type of LED bulb I have access to, dosnt need ballast and the current CFL G24 light I am using need one. I have to open up to do some re-wiring. But I do not know how to do it, afraid it may damage the plaster ceiling.

I tried pushing the spring-like metal at the side and it did went in but nothing happens. I dare not to forcefully pull the whole fixture though:

Apparently the body is screw to a beam, then the beam is further screw to a stand together with the G24 holder.

With Ozak and AEIOU's guide I manage to remove the 4 springs and apparently I can remove the fixture to disconnect the ballast. Thanks !

Installing Game in HDD in docking station?!

Hi Guru-s,

I have a 1TB HDD which I suspected to be the reason for my PC to freeze randomly and been lay-off from duty for sometime.

Recently I find myself running out of capacity by living with the 2.5" HDD with only 250G and nowadays the games really come in huge size. (have a buffalo 2T external but thats for storage, movie etc)

And this makes me of thinking to reuse the suspected-faulty HDD.

Idea:
-> get a docking station for the 1TB so that it wont causes random freeze - noone tell me this, i just think it can prevent it. Any comment?

Usage:
-> Installing games and run it through docking station

Could this idea work? Or any other suggestion so that I could make good use of that 1TB?

Right, I am one of you who will (very high chance!) get the iPhone later than retail / walk in customer.

Let's see whos is the most unfortunate customer, that will need to wait the longest after order! I think I am though.

Things turns up better than 2nd Dec delivery now - though I cant be sure until I have the phone in hand. You know, things tend to be unpredictable nowadays, like pre-order and no phone reserved for you ( ).

I cant take this anymore after knowing my phone is laying at a place not more than 5km from my house.
At 6:05pm, speed all the way from my workplace to Gdex center an finally, I got the phone !

Current status
1) System showing shipment been "pick-packed" and "order being prepared" , but no details on the location of the shipment.
2) G-dex consignment number is not a tracking number, call back Operator Female2 saying I need to check with G-dex for tracking number but Gdex not working during weekend. Zzz
3) Got the phone from the Gdex center !

So basically, depending on the whether the consignment number real and the expecting delivery date, to decide whether I am going to cancel or wait for the shipment.
Frankly, I soften my "posture" on this after realize that, 7 working days from 6th Nov it actually stretches to 17 Nov.
It was stil legit, if my phone were to deliver by 14th but again, with the tons of cases phone supposed to be delivered on 6th Nov but didnt and the ever-changing delivery method/dates, it is a big question mark that would they stick to 14th. Therefore, better safe than sorry, 11th Nov.

So, do bug them on daily basis, till get what you want or cancel the order and get the phone through other ways.

Hi guys need some help over here.

I plan to make a cross fire for my HD 6870 cause the current cards are SO EXPENSIVE !
Gonna bear with it for the time being. Checked out some video regarding HD6870 CF, kinda decent performance and its CHEAP to do that!

But before that need to check whether I have the right things to make that happen.

MoBo: Asus P8H67-M
PSU: CM Silent Pro M600
CF Bridge: Available.
Power connector: 2 Morlex to 6-pins.

Extras:
CPU: i5-2400 Sandy Bridge

Questions:
-> Is the PSU able to sustain that 2 cards?
-> The 2 morlex to 6-pins connector is going to share a same 5-pins output, is it ok? (I have only 1 left out of 4 available on the PSU)
-> Anyone already has this system, need your reviews !

So I am thinking of doing a crossfire !

But safety first - can my CM Silent Pro M600 handle the cards ?

Since it has only 1 pair (6-pins) of grey-wire for PCI-e. So how am I going to power up the other card ??

I found this post but it didnt really say how to do with the wiring . (Here)

And this is the supporting fact that CM Pro M600 should be able to handle 2 HD 6870. (Here)

Hi folks,

I inherited this Proton Iswara (PEK XXXX) from my sis after she got a new car and it is quite an old car - more than 10 years ba ~

The cushion of the car seats is flatten after so much time and it is causing some trouble for me.

The part where my butt is, sunk downward and making this "v-shape" posture while I am driving.
Now that it increases the distance between my foot and the pedals, I have to adjust the seat to the front so that I can drive comfortably.

But from the photo you can see that, by adjusting to the front my knee is very near to the steering - it does hinder my movements.
And I have back problem - a prolong driving make my back pain. Hope that these can be improved by changing the seats.

That's why I have this in mind so far. I have no clues on this yet, any pointers is welcomed.

Best to provide info like:

-> how much?
-> is is possible to change some of the seats or it gotta be all at once (including those at the back) ?
-> suggestions of place to change ?

FYI:
I am currently at Penang near Hospital Lam Wah Yee. Plan to get that done before go back for school in Selangor this June.
Still, you can provide any places that is suitable for the change.

I got a fairly nice cushion restored service from somewhere near SMJK Heng Ee.

The name is "Alias Cushion" the tauke and the kuli is the same guy - a malay uncle who speaks fairly decent mandarin !

Extra info:
i. He is from Ipoh and has been working in this field for around 20 years.
ii. We all call him Tauke (老板) in mandarin !! Not sure is Alias his name ~

Direction:
-> Starting from Heng Ee Secondary School, enter the roundabout.
-> Take the second left turn / second exit / 12 o'clock direction from your entrance. (no.1 in the map)
-> Follow the way till you see another very very tiny roundabout with a lamp pose at the middle.
-> Take the second left turn / second exit / 3'o'clock direction from your entrance. (since it is so not roundabout like, you can say turn right too LOL // no.2 in the map)
-> Follow the road, till you see an end that you have to either turn left or right - around 2 or 3 blocks from the turning, at your right.

* You have to start paying attention at your right as soon as the end is in your sight because the appearance of the "shop" is like normal single storey terrace and there is no signboard.
** Since it is very near to a sharp turning YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL AND WATCH OUT BEFORE TURNING INTO THE SHOP !!
*** If you know the place, the end that I talking about is turning left to SMK Abdullah Munshi.

[How it is done?]
-> First you need to visit the shop.
-> Tell him what you want to do and he will give you some advises and a quote.
-> Then he will show you what kind of fabric (think he has leather too) he has. (not sure would the type of fabric affect the price)
-> After decided the choice of fabric, pay an amount of deposit (up to you how much would that be) then he will take off your seats and start the work.

* What I did was I left my passenger seats for him to work on for few days and when it is done I dropped by again and stay there for him to finish up the driver seat. Everything is done by hand - from cushion cover to filling in sponge and he is doing all on his own. Thats why the time.

[Remarks]
I paid for RM500 for the restoration (fill in new sponge and new cover for the cushion) for all the cushion - driver seat + passengers seats front and back.
He also provide service on changing the wrappers of door panels to match the cushion.

Bear in mind that he is not going to change a brand new sponge but top up new sponge - cause there is no way to find an original sponge for the seat right? Only the manufacturer will have it ...

Will post up the photos of my new cushion here later ~

Macro Excel VBA

Sup folks,

Just being introduced to this during my interns. Anyone has experience working on this ?

My job is to transfer data in .txt file to excel '07 and do further modification such as adding columns or deleting some unwanted info.

The thing is I manage to apply all modification I need on 1 .txt file that being transfered into excel - but i dont know how to apply to

the rest of the files that line up down there.

What my current situation is:

-> I got a script from my mentor and it can transfer all the .txt files in a chosen directory and line it up nicely in excel

-> So what I need its maybe a function to apply the modification (same modification) to the rest of the data

-> It gotta be like able to indentify that there are still files at the bottom and able to stop when it reaches the last file.

PS: I am totally nuts in this, be ready to explain some very basic terms >.<

Any hints and pointers are appreciated !
