(Petaling Jaya, 26 June) Female LRT passengers were sexually harassed in the train compartments a few days ago, and Rapid Rail and the Auxiliary Police quickly set up a situation and took action to arrest the pervert man involved in the case this morning!
A female netizen posted a complaint on social media platform Xiaohongshu on Tuesday, 24th of this month, that she was sexually harassed by a pervert in a train compartment when she was traveling on the Kelana Jaya Line (KJL) to work.
Responding to Metro Community Newspaper this morning, Rapid Rail said that NIC auxiliary police had this morning arrested the man involved in the sexual harassment case.
Rapid Rail said the suspect, aged about 32, was arrested at about 8.48am this morning by the Special Action Team (SAT) of the NIC Auxiliary Unit.

GEORGE TOWN (March 6): Some tenants evicted from the Taman Manggis people’s housing project (PPR) carried out a peaceful protest in front of the project and later marched to Komtar after their homes were “sealed” today, reported The Malay Mail

It was reported that up to 22 tenants were evicted today after being served notice last year “as they were no longer eligible to rent the PPR units meant for Malaysians and the hardcore poor”.

Penang housing department staff tried to evicting the stubborn tenants last week but “they were given a reprieve till today” after earlier protests.

The protestors handed a memorandum to the Penang Chief Minister’s office at around noon.

In response, Penang CM Chow Kon Yeow said PPR units are only rented out for five years to each tenant, reported the news portal.

“After five years, we will review the case and hopefully the tenant would have increased their income level and be able to afford somewhere else so they can vacate the units and let others who have been waiting for these units to rent it.

“Till today, those who were supposed to only rent the units for five years are still there and we had to take action against those who no longer meet the criteria to qualify for a PPR unit,” he told the media at his office.

He explained that the PPR units are only for the hardcore poor so those whose income is higher, consistently failed to pay their rent and those with foreign spouses have to move out.

The PPR units are also “strictly for Malaysians” and those with foreign spouses are not eligible at all for a unit.

Chow said there are more than 400 applicants still waiting for PPR units in Taman Manggis “since the project was completed 11 years ago”.

“We will only listen to the appeals by genuine cases,” Chow stressed.

(1) 22 penyewa ini mempunyai tunggakan sewa sehingga RM15,000. Tidak bayar sejak bermula tinggal di PPR (1990). Walaupun sewa hanya RM100 sebulan. 13 penyewa mempunyai kereta lebih dari 2 buah, membuktikan mereka golongan yang mampu.

(2) 9 penyewa telah dikenal pasti punyai pertambahan pendapatan sehingga RM3000 sebulan dan melepasi paras dibenarkan untuk menyewa iaitu pendapatan RM1,500.

(3) 5 penyewa berkahwin dgn warga asing (Bangladesh & Indonesia). Melanggari syarat PPR iaitu untuk warganegara Malaysia saja.

(4) 8 Penyewa didapati mempunyai rumah sendiri, tetapi menyewakan kepada orrng lain

(5) 400 keluarga miskin terpaksa menunggu hampir 7 tahun untuk menyewa PPR ini.

Arahan pengosongan telah diberikan sejak Oktober tahun 2018 serta notis terakhir pada hari Jumaat lalu (1.3.2019)

Someone claimed to called from Air Asia

So my phone showed private number, she gave me the number 03 2056 0838
the person who called, it's a she, claimed that she is from Air Asia Headquarters and asked for my address but I avoided that question.
Got free 30 days insurance and after that it will be cancelled. and said I'm one of the lucky air asia member to get this offer.
to me it sounds like a scam and I tried to ignore and avoid her inquiry bout my informations.
*the only info i gave out is, I'm a student and I'm 22 years old.

I've googled this number and some claimed it is a scam. Can someone clarify this?
