anyone knows anywhere that sells bilstein shocks at a reasonable price?
looking to buy the Bilstein B8 for my car, Audi A4 B5. at sunway they quoted me a price of 3600 ringgit, which is just ridiculously expensive! but it's sunway, so im not that surprise. so yeah.

im driving a 98 Audi A4 B5. Recently did a major conversion on it. So my current suspensions sucks major balls. the car is literally everywhere when taking high speed corners, even not-so-high speed corners. and i just changed my rims to an 18 inch rims. the body eats up the tire on the right side like crazy. im planning on changing them suspensions soon.
so i got a budget of 3k. i went to sunway just now and asked around. one guy suggest an H&R spring with stock shocks. from what my friend told me, who drives a 1.4 scirocco with H&R spring and stock absorbers, it's really good. "Good enough".
so H&R sport springs 1400 ringgit. My stock absorbers 1.7. that makes 3100. i dont mind the extra 100.
another guy offered me D&D Coilovers. Fully adjustable only for 2500 ringgit. from taiwan.

any thoughts?

Finally! after a long long time of hunting this beauty, i've found it!
An Audi A4 B5 1.8t with MANUAL tranny.
Project audi is currently underway, gonna do it myself as my first project with a help of my friend who has way more experience with an Audi. Fingers crossed!
gonna post a build tread soon.

this puzzles me a bit. It's an S4 ignition coil. Hopefully it gives out better ignition and throttle response. Knock on wood.

Ignition issues!

currently:

Starts engine,
engine runs for like 2-3 seconds,
engine dies.
(i repeated it countless times with the same result)

3-4 weeks prior to current issue:

starts engine,
runs for 2-3 seconds,
engine dies,
lightly pressing the throttle,
starts engine for the second/third time,
rev it above idling rev for a few seconds,
runs normally.

before my car acted like this, i left my car in KL and went travelling for a few weeks, and there was nobody to take care of my car while i was gone.
so if anyone know whats the problem with it, i'd be grateful.
i think its either the spark plug or ignition coils or spark plug cable thats making my car sick. please help.
its a 96 Audi A4 B5 N/A

but so far the hardest part is to find parts for it. anyone here know any halfcut shops that got an Audi A4 B5 1.8T Manual halfcut?

was just wondering, why are most of the continental cars(BWM, Merc, Audi, VW etc) in malaysia are auto transmission?
are manual tranny hard to find or non existence? people here dont like to drive stick?
i know the traffic here is quite a pain in the ass, especially in KL, but driving stick is soo much fun than an auto.

i found this forum for Audi enthusiast, Audizine.com, its a pretty cool site. and seeing that most of the member lives in the same country or state(US of A) they sometimes get together, hang out and stuff.
i thought it be fun to do so.
also a buddy of mine said that there's an audi b5 group around shah alam. if there is one, i'd sure would love to join.

so what im trying to say is,are there any young audi A4 B5 owners out there? id like to hang out, talk about our cars and what not. since B5 is a rare breed in malaysia

here in malaysia, its pretty rare finding a heavily mod Audi. or anyone using an audi a4 b5 for that matter.
so for my first car, my dad gave me his Audi A4 B5 sadly its an automatic transmission. Driving it is very very satisfying, handling, speed, comfort and etc.
right after i got my car, i started hanging out with car junkie(sort of, here in malaysia not many people know how to personally mod their car and being just only 19. so we opted to buy part and send our cars to workshops for an install). almost all of them are using japanese cars, fast, not that expensive, very very easy to find aftermarket parts unlike continental cars like Audi. Being only 19 and a half, i dont have that much money to upgrade my audi especially when finding parts are quite difficult and very expensive. so i watched my friends slowly upgrading their cars. and me? i just watched and wish i had a lot of money to upgrade mine. the labor charge for continental cars is twice as much than a japanese car.
My friends advice me to sell my audi and get a good japanese car like honda. i said no because resale value is pretty low and i really love my audi.
lately i wanted to change the transmission to manual(cause face it, manual is oh so much better than auto ) and finding a used manual transmission is so very difficult. there are practically none, ive search many many places with no luck. so my friend said that he knows a guy that could build a customize manual gearbox for my audi, i was pretty happy until he told me the price to do so. $10000 minimum. just for the gearbox. goddamn.
as i said. its hard to be an Audi enthusiast in Malaysia. so if there anyone reading this and can help out. please please PM me or something.

i have no idea. but i think its absurd to have tht kind of craving. most of them are teens below 17!. wth their silly poses, names and whatnot.
