Car service should fuel go down much?

Took my car for normal regular service. Took a pic of the fuel - digital reading and when I collect the car it's fuel down from 151km to 82km.

Possible?

They said only took car from front to back of place. No testing involved.

Used a legit service centre

They offered general explanation that it's the fuel tank

3am bikers

Every night bikers racing up and down the streets of the city centre KL. At the weekend must have been 500+ bikes about 3am. The noise was so loud.

Every night also about 2.30am - 3am the bikers race up and down.

What's happening? No polis?

KLIA1 To Shift Customs Checks To Boarding Gates St

Always left people confused with the first screening. People thinking they had to take things out of their pockets and bags. The staff at the screening always looked disinterested and I was never convinced the screening was for anything.

In all my years travelling through KLIA and I travel frequently I never seen them stop anyone at this first screen.

Also the gate screening always seem to be short staffed these days and chaotic partly because of that. It's the worst bit of the airport especially when you two packed flight go from neighbor gates and its like Bangladeshi flight and they just don't want to queue.

KLIA has lots of staff but I don't think they use them well.

Worried about TnB bill

Worried about TnB bill.. Guess lots of people are also according to the newspapers today.

TNB has taken the graphs down on its app. When I checked today it was already half my normal bill which is often high anyway. Who knows what it it be in a few weeks time.

Lots of people seems to have the same when they looked at the app. No wonder they have taken it down

Lots of confusion about how the bills are going to be.

Does every dentist and doctor have a 5* review?

Was looking for a new dentist (and GP/doctor) due to location and opening hours of my current ones. Lots available but they all have glowing 4.9* and 5* review.

Are they all just made up or is everyone loving their dentist and doctor?

Bought something today and a bit angry. Seller gave me discount but when I got home found out the product being sold 50% off by manufacturer. Yeah I should have checked.

Contacted the store. Manager wouldn't do same deal. Told me cannot return it.

My fault. Feel stupid but also scammed.

Is a large RM lost.

Do we have any consumer rights to return a product?

Trending on Google about the rise in cases of sick kids and elderly in China due to the metapneumovirus. Not a new virus but seems to be on the rise.

Lots of fake news around and not much reporting from trustworthy sources but reuter news put a piece today about China monitoring a rise in respiratory virus.

I know there have been bad coughs here in Malaysia for a few months. Some people have had terrible cough lingering for weeks.

Road transport department issue 134,000notices

Staggered to read 134,000 notices handed out by road transport department in ops since November.

Nearly 40,000 motor bike without license. Nearly 25,000 without insurance.

No wonder they drive like crazy and no care.

Scooters

Nearly hit a scooter, one of these you see around the city centre of KL.
Guy, probably a tourist came off a pavement and shot across road. Just narrowly missed him.

What are the laws about scooters on pavements, roads etc?

I thought the government was planning to restrict them or ban them.

See them around town, on the roads, no lights on them at night. Or on pavement going fast

SUKE highway - will it make a difference?

Wondering whether the opening of phase 1 of the SUKE highway here in KL will make a difference. Maybe for one month whilst toll free?

Will the tolls prevent a lot of people using it? I am often surprised how jammed the roads above the SMART tunnel are and when you use the tunnel it's almost always totally empty. Just you driving.

Centre of KL is jam jam every night till gone 8pm. It's a nightmare for workers and people who just want to get out and about

Which phone for Under RM2,500

Considering:

1. Samsung A53 or A73
2. Oppo Reno 8 - just launched this week
3. Nothing phone 1

Any thoughts? Any others to throw into the mix. Nothing too bulky

I prefer the look of colorOS over Samsung OS and I also quite like Motorola phones.

I just don't understand why they are saying the new linkbuds s are RM170 cheaper than the 1000xm4 when in fact they are now more expensive. I was in a store last night where the new linkbuds s were at leave RM50 more expensive than the 1000xM4 model.

Anyone any experience with both these models?

Condo neighbour problem - advice needed

Condo neighbour problem. Advice needed.

I have a neighbor in my condo who is suddenly causing some problem for no reason.

Latest is they scratched a message on my door with a key or something. Covers 50% of the door. Message is nothing personal just weird.

Started with leaving rubbish outside my door in bags etc. Also has caused problems on other floors and with guards. Well known.

Person clearly has issues. No interaction with them before. Hardly ever seen them.

What do we do? Make polis report about door?

Food inflation

Noticing quite a hike in food prices. Things like veggies. Some mushrooms seem to be 1/3 higher than they used to be certainly before the pandemic.

Low income families and pensioners will struggle if this continues.

Not only the price rise but the quality becoming poor..veggies rotting on the shelf. Got to look carefully.

Oppo Reno 7 pro

Thoughts on the oppo Reno 7 pro. Just released at around RM3K. Android 11 still. Nice compact size, feels good in the hand. Nice screen and square sides.

If it had android 12 out of the box I would be more interested. What's people's experience with oppo phones?

Jln Sultan Ismail Traffic light question

At the junction of Jln Sultan Ismail and Jln Ampang in KL (outside renaissance hotel) there is a traffic light. If you filter left do onto Jln Ampang do you need to stop at the red light(see photo)?

Some cars stop at the red light. Some don't. Police behind me once. I stopped and they beep like crazy.

Electricity bill

I live in condo, 2 of us.
Electricity bills seem to be shooting up and have stayed high. Last month TNB install a smart meter in all units
Last months bill RM600+ and this month RM750+
So high for 2 people. Ok we are working from home with fan on, lights and air con in evening and at night but still seems high to me.

Is everyone else paying like this?
