Recognition of overseas LLB in Malaysia(LAW)

I have read qualifications to become a member of the Malaysian bar council and I am not sure about how it works.

I know that a LLB qualification from UM or NUS is enough and England LLB students need to take CLP. What about Hong Kong LLB? Is there any way that a Hong Kong LLB can practice law in Malaysia?

Hi all!
At 1st i have already shortlisted a few subjects for A level next year, they are Law, econ and maths.
However after listening to a few of my friend's experiences, many of them asked me not to take law in A level because the chance to be enrolled into good university is lower. So my question is what kind of subject combination is good and recognized? and why? And also please explain about how traditional subject and modern subject affect enrollment of university in the future.

Malaysia Education Blueprint, Janji Ditepati?

Malaysia Education Blueprint. Adakah janji ditepati?
"All the public exam in Malaysia are just memory test. Not saying that I can't cope with it but it completely defeat the purpose of education. How often do the politician or Wakil rakyat actually debate about the policy for their young generation? Pencapaian diutamakan, rakyat didahulukan, how much do they care about our education? Instead the government believe that by introducing policies such as The abolishment of ppsmi and 1 murid 1 sukan curriculum programme will actually reform the education as they promised.

There are a lot of new policies on education being implemented on the educator as well as the student, but none of them actually tackle the fundamental problem within the system. Why is this happening Malaysia? To develop or reform an education system, the reciprocal relationship between Governemnt and stakeholders is very important. Opinion from teachers, parents and students should be taken into consideration in the first place. Sadly the case happening in Malaysia is the opposite extreme of what it should be healthy.

Everyone, it's time to voice out. The youth, it's time to bring up serious matter to the leaders of the country. We want change now. We want the next generation to be well educated, that's what we're fighting for." written by me earlier on.

Yes! The government has finally unveiled the new Malaysia education blueprint that stretches to 2025. Let us review whether it's a policy that answers the people's demand and interest or it is merely another rhetoric empty talk.

Is the blueprint flexible for change that accord people's feedback? The government promised that during the preliminary period of the new blueprint, anyone can provide suggestion and feedback. But this kind of tranparency and assurance become dubious to me. Why? First of all, i believe that the government should again address the fundamental problem such as PPSMI. Instead the government have chosen to ignore the public demand on PPSMI to be remained as an offer. This issue is crucially related because government tends to flip flop their policies without tackling the root of problems. For example, the unfinished and faulty policies that have been put on hold are The National Education Blueprint 2006-2010 and The Eighth Malaysia Plan.

Have you noticed that each and every policies are similar to each other? These policies usually take up years to be implemented. More importantly, education ministry never failed to get more allocation of budget every time they propose a new policy. I do agree that more government funding should be directed into education but the allocation must be very transparent.

In 2012, more than 5 billion Ringgit has been allocated to our education but not a single improvement are significant enough to be noticed by the public. Moreover, unknown amount of money is used to implement the programme 1 murid 1 sukan without analysis on whether it's constructive or not. This clearly shows that the education ministry does not require huge amount of money to reform our education system. Likewise, the education ministry need not to propose long term policies that eventually be put on hold.

I don't think it is appropriate to discuss furthermore in details as the blueprint was just announced shortly. Let us wait and see how the government will respond to the feedback especially regarding the PPSMI issue.

From http://malaysiayouthvoice.blogspot.com/
