Racism/nationalism in Malaysia applied to kids

Dear LYN forumers... I'm still in a heavy shock and it's really disgusting matter, but I have to share it.

Just few words about myself. I'm a foreigner living in Malaysia with my family for 10+ years.
My son is 10 years old and he's a professional racing driver in the Malaysian karting team. He races under the flag of Malaysia since his first appearance in races back in 2017, because he has malaysian racing license (issued by ASN FIA). To cut long story short - in sports nationality is defined by sports federation to which athlete belongs to...

Yesterday, there was an international racing event of IAME Series Asia held at Sepang track. That's one of international series my son races in. Races are held in different countries, and some of them counted for local/national 'sub'-championship. For example, when we race in Thailand - thai racers are scoring points and receive trophies for both 'main' event and 'national' event. In Malaysia, we have similar thing, organized by SIC (Sepang International Circuit) as local championship.

Kids raced well and got to the podium, my son got 3rd and one of his teammates, Jacob, won the race. Awards ceremony went well in front of cameras and public. Now, imagine that: after the ceremony, SIC representative comes to our team's tents and demands trophies back from 10 YEAR OLD KIDS, SAYING "YOU ARE NOT REAL MALAYSIANS". It took me about 10 minutes to realize it is happening for real...

Seriously? When we race everywhere abroad, spending enormous time and efforts, blood n sweat, lots of money (and having ZERO support from sports authorities in Malaysia), when we raise Malaysia flag above the podium in different countries - OK, YOU ARE MALAYSIAN!. And then... when we race at the place we call home we get THIS - "you are trash, because you don't have malaysia passport"

And you can't say they don't understand that they are doing wrong. They tried to make it quietly, behind the scenes, away from public and cameras. I spent 10 minutes talking to that girl representative of SIC. Please note, she is a total coward, demanding trophies back from PARENTS, not KIDS. Leaving to parents all the shame explaining why 'auntie' takes their trophies back from them.

I had never faced such a shameful thing in my life. I still can't believe it could be happening in a multinational and multicultural country in 21st century. Is it happening in other spheres of life in Malaysia? Had it ever happened to you?

PosMalaysia steals my parcel

Here's the brief story:

Yesterday (25th of Sept) postman drove by my house and dropped an usual red note into my mailbox right before my eyes (one moment... it was paid for door to door delivery but they never try to deliver actual parcel, but drop a note instead ). Note says to collect item at POSLAJU Cyberjaya and was dated 21st of September. WTF #1?
So today I went to Cyberjaya PosLaju to collect - they said "oh, we don't have that item here, it has to be in PosMalaysia office in Dengkil"
again.. WTF #2?
Okay, I call there, they say "But you've already received this item". WTF #3?!
I got home to my desktop, checked poslaju tracking... indeed it says parcel was received on 22nd of September in Cyberjaya office...
I printed out the tacking page and drove to that office again. Asked them to whom they gave my parcel and why.
and they STILL pretend they never had an item, though i was showing them the tracking printout!
then i asked why that note has their chop on it (not the Dengkil's one if they say it has to be in Dengkil). They simply answered "Oh, that's a mistake, someone stamped the wrong chop"

So POS STAFF not only steals, but even never tries to invent something more realistic... Someone stamped wrong chop, track-trace page also wrong. Everything is wrong, but no one knows nothing. Common, we ain't THAT STUPID to believe this crap.
And they SIMPLY WASHED THEIR HANDS. Your item was collected (Cyberjaya says it was collected in Dengkil, Dengkil says - in Cyberjaya). Go find out who why etc

I called their hotline. Guess what? They can't disclose who collected my parcel (though each time I collect they ALWAYS check my passport and write details down in their books) and they proposed me to contact sender in Japan to ask him to go to his post office and find out.

Dear POS MALAYSIA, you not only hire thieves but also trying to cover them. I won't leave it like this. I will try to push this story to media and sure thing will lodge a report to police.
It's so obvious you or your courier is part of it. You deliver me that note on 25th knowing that parcel was already collected 3 days ago. NO WAY to pretend you never knew.

Need help /w aircon and pump invertor

Hi LYN guys

Currently having 2 issues in my house I need help with:
1st. water pump
- needs VFD invertor fixed OR replaced. pump motor is 0.55kW, so any VFD with input 1AC220V and output 3AC ~1.5kW should be enough
2nd. aircon leaking gas
- probably, will need to inspect piping.

If someone can provide that help - let me know estimated costs

Hi

Need to find a good contractor to install 6 ceiling fans /w remote controllers. What needs to be done:
- open/hack the plaster ceiling
- install hooks where missing (some should exist already)
- locate existing wires or install new wire from distributor boxes
- mount fans
- restore the ceiling and touch /w paint if needed

House is located @ Cyberjaya.

Hi forumers

Got keys from our new house. Its a 2-sty semi-D, ~4500sqf.
Though there is not many things to do there, just some basic stuff, we need someone who is able to start on renovation work ASAP and complete it by the end of August.

Here's main list of works to be done:
- plaster ceiling L-shape in two rooms
- just a bit of wiring
- paint interior walls
- make 2 "feature" walls / dividers
- make 1 decorative plaster wall element (will provide drawings)

additionally (if able to provide):
- build TV rack
- install aircons
- install 3 fans
- install lighting (hanging lamps, etc)

How to clone condo access-card

Hi guys,
We've ran out of allowed condo access card and management does not want to provide us with more cards (rules-are-rules-blahblahblah). The card itself is RFID card (not 125kHz). Can someone help or give me a hint how to get help with getting more cards?
