Accident, fixed, and now don't want to pay

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share some experience for advice, and also so hopefully no one repeats this mistake.

Last week my car (Honda) was hit from behind on the Federal Highway. The other driver was a middle-aged Bentley driver. I got his mobile number and snapshot of his car, but not his IC or license. He was very apologetic and asked to call him the next day, saying he would take care of it.

We called and texted him the next day but he was quite unresponsive. We sent pictures of the car damage as well. He did however ask that we don't send for repair at Honda, as that would be expensive. So we sent it to another workshop, and got a quote, sent him a picture of the quote. We had to go ahead and start repairs because we needed the car badly.

Long story short, the car is now repaired and the guy is avoiding calls and messages. Told us to arrange with his PA, but his PA instead started accusing us of trying to profit from his boss. Quite a lot of drama but all in all it seems like they don't want to pay. And because we've already fixed the car and didn't make a police report, there isn't any legal recourse to pursue.

I did however receive sme advice that it's possible to still make a police report now, and use that report and go to the insurance companies. It's less straightforward but still possible. Anyone have any knowledge of this?

So some lessons learnt:
1) Just because a guy drives a Bentley doesn't mean he isn't a shallow, selfish prick
2) Always get the other person's IC and /or license.
3) Always make a police report within 24 hours, even if damage is minimal

iPhone 6+ cracked screen

Hi all,

Had a freak accident with my iPhone 6+. In short, it fell from my car seat to the ground at a petrol station (you know those hard concrete floors) and the entire screen is cracked and spider-webbed.

All those forumers who have been in such a position before, how did you get a replacement? I've seen some services like iphonefix.my but not sure how reliable and whether they can even replace for iphone 6 given the rounded edges.

If I send it back to the Apple store, will they be able to fix it? How long will it take? Any experience shared would be helpful. Thanks!

Where to buy Samsung Ativ S?

I've been looking around for it and very few places have it. Even certain authorised Samsung resellers say they either don't know what it is or no stock or stock hasn't arrived. I have only managed to see one or two and they are going for quite a high price (i.e. full RRP).

I've also tried searching on Garage Sales and no one seems to carry this phone. Does anyone know where I can get it? I'm in the Klang Valley area.

Seriously, do you know what a great workout it is? Lol

In any case, any LYN forumers here surf? I'm not too sure how expensive it is to surf at Sunway Lagoon, and I don't know whether there even is a surfing community in Malaysia, but we definitely should explore the options.

Does anyone know much about surfing at Sunway Lagoon and willing to share?
