How about EV with Three battery module?

The idea is like.

During the shorter work trip weekdays, just install one module.
Range of 150km.(25kwh)

The other module, keep in house to be used as 2* Solar BESS. (2*25kwh)

Perform daily swap as needed to keep the battery charged for the next day.

And weekend/holiday, install all three modules for long range travels.

Overall advantage is.

1. Week days, the car does not need to be loaded up with another 3-400kg of batteries anyway since short trips.

2. Solar charging will be possible since, who buys a 2nd car just to park it at home anyway???

Key challenges: User being able to install and remove batteries and also additional Bi-directional charger/BESS equipment in garage.
TNB AFA rate for May and Jun 2026

anyone else see what I see? and am I understanding it correctly?

The star news reported it.

" The utility firm also revealed the three-month AFA rate forecast for May (39 sen kWh), June (91 sen kWh) and July (8.0 sen kWh)."

for any EV kaki that charge more than 300kwh + home use of more than 300kwh... surely we will be above 600kwh... and that will apply to us. Even for solar nem3.0, the usage will also trigger additional AFA charges(not like hundreds of additional charge... but also in the Tens...)

So for May the per kwh is going to be ** below 1500kwh = 39sen(AFA) + 27.03sens(energy charge) + 4.55(capacity) + 12.85(network charge)
= 83.5 sens/ kwh ??

plus retail charge.

or above 1500kwh = 39+37.03+4.55+12.85 = 93.43 sens/kwh?

Pls , ICE drivers or otherwise, no need to gloat. this is just a friendly reminder to EV driver to not keep harping on how Petrol price going up and than after than electricity price go up, and the ICE driver laugh at each other....

Asked AI chat.

was said that 5 caverns total storage of 1.47 million m3. Cost SGD 950 million.

is this a better investment than say, subsidizing /ktard with the solar roofs?

edit: went and asked more ... apparently Japan have 400million barrels of reserves(gov + private + oil producer reserves)

Singapore amount is kacang putih?

Edit: how difficult is it for Malaysia to put oil back into old land based "wells", using it as reserves??? no need to spend 950 million to build???
Canadair CL-415 / DHC-515 “Water Bombers”
- Amphibious aircraft that scoop water directly from lakes or rivers.
- Capacity: ~1,600 gallons.
- Widely used in Europe and Canada.

... Would countries like, eg Hong Kong with such close proximity to sea, and high density in super high skyscraper be equipped to right these type of fire in the sky?

We need solution rather than pointing fingers.

/K pilots got...
Myth: EV regen Vs Toyota Hybrid regen

They are not the same regen but improves range/power for acceleration in a similar manner.

For newbie EV driver.

Tesla branded regen... 10 to 30% (depending on situation)

Byd branded regen 10 to 25%(depending on situation)
Personal data point. When I went up Fraser hills I spend 20% of battery on my Byd M6 extended. Coming down, the regen was only 2%. Which is 10%. Fraser hill is very winding and the speed coming down was slower due to passenger becoming dizzy.

Hence, the conclusion I had after driving EV For one year. While the rated range is 538km. There is significant amount of range reduction when fully loaded to go on vacation trips. If you are family or working class, where by we keep tools and water and baby's items. The range can be reduced.

The main Myth I want to inform All drivers is, Regen does not give you back 100% of the inertial energy. Hence, drive like you drive a hybrid, gentle acceleration and with the anticipation to minimise braking, and magically you can good range. I off the strong regen after six months of driving and the range improved as much as 10-20%.

However it is still never the 538km. In real life driving of long distance, top speed close to 120km/HR with well timed overtakes to minimise braking or hard acceleration with full load(5 pax, and luggages). is close to 400km. And city driving with 70% load, (3-5pax) is close to 440km.

Before that it was closer to 360km and 400km, highway and city respectively.

Hope that helps. I am 100% sure petrol car users will also benefit when they drive in this manner, same as hybrids, to get better range.

Why not: quota petrol also be interchangeable

IC for grocery purchase.

IC for petrol.

So if ayam ride bike, or worst still take public bus and train.... The petrol quota would be underutilized. (wasted.)

And this way, it will encourage more to take public transport, since reduction in petrol usage means more food on table?

/K probably will say...evil! Now a mother need to decide between milk for child or petrol for going to work....

Edit: Had to cross out the word wasted...since it is not wasted wasted...
