Was hoping if you all could recommend laptop for daily use under RM 3k?
Only for daily use (Word, Excel, Youtube, Netflix, Spotify)

Doesn't matter if it's a Mac or Windows. As long can get the job done.

Only asking now because previously everything use company laptop

Business partner in Sdn Bhd setup

my ex-colleague has set up her own Sdn Bhd. She needs about R30K for capital so she is looking for a business partner/investor. she asked if i could pump in at least rm3K. She said she has found a few other business partners but she's still short of funds.
would it be wise to take on to be her business partner? She did say that profits will be shared amongst the investors.

I am planning to buy a smartphone for my mother. She already has a SIM card but that SIM card is meant for those old school handphones. That phone number is also a supp line from my sister. Can i just walk into any of the service provider's outlets and change the simcard type without my sister being there? what is the SOP?

Dilemma

Hey guys/gals,

Need your opinion on this. Currently having a job with fixed salary but i am not happy with the company i am with because i am not informed of projects until my "time" comes along and by then, i am probably tied up with another project. I have to jump up and down, send constant emails to respective managers to know my schedule and usually the answer i get is "we will let you know soon". The plus side is that this is a project role.

Naturally i started looking around for other opportunities elsewhere. So the job i found is a contract job where the client willing to pay me about 3x more than the salary i am getting now. But this is for a support role.

My dilemma now is that altho this contract job pays me really well, but at the end of the day it is still a contract job. So if my contract does not get extended/renewed, i am probably screwed if i cannot get a new job some time soon. But at the same time, my current company's attitude of doing things is like 'tak apa" and i can't be juggling and pulling all- nighters every now and then.

1) Permanent job (fixed monthly salary), Project role

2) Contract job (monthly salary about 3x more than current role), Support role, contract as of now is for 2 months

What do you think? Should i stay or should i go?

My ride leaves at about 630am
nearest LRT pulak Bukit Jalil, all the more i wouldnt dare to park my car there..

Landlord yet to refund deposit

Hi sifus,

was wondering if anyone can advice me on this.

So i my tenancy agreement with the landlord ended, and i even had given him sufficient notice period prior to moving out.
final month rental had been banked into his account, and even the utility bills had all been settled with the exception of the water bill as at the time of me moving out, the condo's management had yet to release the water bill but I had already highlighted this to him.

Now after 1 month, he has yet to refund my utility bill deposit AND my 2 months' advance deposit. He keeps giving excuses to delay the refunding of the money. First he was outstation, then he accused me not paying the last electricity bill and then wanting to know how much the other tenants had paid me for the utilities as I was the main tenant of the unit (FYI, the other tenants also moved out at the same time as I had). Then when i showed scanned copy of the amount due of the TNB bill and receipt of payment, he then gave the excuse that we need for the water bill from the management. After much chasing, he gave excuses that he doens't always visit the condo but will TRY to make the effort to drop by. When he got the water bill, he didn't want to tell me about the amount due but instead started asking how much each tenant had paid for the last bill.

I assume he doesn't know how to count which I doubt because he's an engineer, I showed him the breakdown of the TNB bill (only 3 of us occupying the unit). I'm beginning to sense that he doesn't want to refund my money at all. Is there anything I can do to get my deposit? If he so hard up for the utility deposit, find la take it lah. But what about my 2 months' advance deposit?

Appreciate if anyone can advise me on this?
