I noticed that quite a lot of people here implies that they actually hated previous mahathir's era. What actually happened back then?

I was roughly still in school and kinda graduated into pak lah era. So my knowledge back then was kinda limited to what's written in the textbook. And as for personal experience, there's nothing too bad during that time, as far as a school boy's concerned.

So, to all those older folks, or those who were exposed to the real world back then, come share with us.

P/s: if it's just some lame political thingy (all those sodomy conspiracy etc), don't bother replying. That's just politics. No significant impacts to the citizens as a whole

Anyone know any shop in lowyat or klang valley in general that sells LAN cable (CAT6 or CAT 5e) in meter, with keystones?

Planning to do some custom network wiring in my house.

Not sure if this poll has been made previously.

If somehow our currency fall so bad that trading with outsiders becomes too expensive, will we be able to self sustain with our local resources instead?

Zakat vs Income Tax

As titled, what's your opinion.

In terms of objective, both serve similar purpose:

Zakat - to help those in needs (but limited to muslim, sort of)
GST - well, you know what this is for

Both are mutually exclusive in term of income reduction (income tax can be reduced if u pay zakat).
However, the 'contribution' of GST is more visible compared to zakat (based on what i can see and hear).

So, what do you think?
