Hi everyone, I have gotten offer to work at oversea at Cambodia, it's a "hotel" business owned by cainaman, in IT department, i have been offered around 2.4k ~ 3.8k USD (post probation) for a senior role.

Is it a good offer?

If u were to dump everything behind and look forward, how will u proceed (ur commitments, ur belongings and people left behind)?

I have a car still havent finish paying and intend to keep while i am away (live by my own, no relatives), anywhere to suggest for parking for maintaining my ride?

Also the renumeration is nett, can i just take home the money and deposit to malaysian bank without raising suspicion from LHDN?

Few months ago i had subscribed to vps hosting by Shinjiru. However, the recent event made me reconsider my option to subscribe to another provider.

Been query a few of host providers at russia and europe, and also australia. I am lack the confidence on my choice of hosting provider.

For the past 1 month, my speed has been all time low, the speed pick up some time though.

Most of my visit are youtube or googling. Currently i am not able to log on to my login.live.com for my emails.

Guys, just found out my unifi bill surged from rm 157.95 to rm 165.75 per month.

I have only subscribed 5mbps package VIP5.

In the invoice, i see a new table with the description:

PREVIOUS ADJUSTMENT - GST:
Date: 22/06/2015

Description: Goods Service Tax(#)

GST: RM 7.79

Total: RM 7.79

This is what's confuse me... all i know that there is already a GST included in the bill which amounts to rm 157.95.

But where the hell is this extra charge came from?

Do note that paid my bill on timely manner.

When u have incoming bill statement indicate an amount is being rounded up or down, do you pay for the right amount?

Let's say I have a TNB bill amount for this month with RM 114.83, the amount being rounded up into RM 114.85.

Even paying via online, which amount do I really have to pay? RM 114.83 or RM 114.85?

As far as I concern, the purpose of rounding up the decimal numbers is to provide convenience for cash registers.

I do not really concern about the additional few cents incurred. Still, I need to question for the sake of understanding.

Also I have realized the Renewal Energy Surcharge has increased from 1% to 1.6%

Recently my company is under going an expansion. There will be a new company form under current company.

The boss requires the department lead to draft a proposal for the prospect of business in a year.

I have not much of clue on what to write of the proposal, other than knowing the core business, let alone the format (pardon me for not being a graduate).

Anyone has got idea of writting a business proposal?

getting last insert id via sqlsrv_query

Hi all,

I have been working on insert statement for transact-sql, but i have encountered a problem.

Insert query is a success, but no result was returned after adding "SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY as last_ins_id".

This is my code:

$tsql = "INSERT INTO table_1 (row_value) VALUES ('abc123'); SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY as last_ins_id";

$stmt = sqlsrv_query($tsql);

sqlsrv_next_result($stmt);

sqlsrv_fetch($stmt);

echo sqlsrv_get_field($stmt,0); //<--- this is where the output of last insert id, but it is blank when echoed.

I have used the same query in sql server management studio but I can get the last inserted row. Not sure why I cannot do it with PHP's sqlsrv driver...

EDIT:

I have been googling for some answers, all providing the "SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY" statement but I still cannot work it out although I have followed 100% the code they provide.

I have identity column for my table with auto increment field, but still not working as expected.

Contaminated water supply

Hi all,

I have a problem with water supply in my vincinity. The water seems to contain rust and smells like paint.

I have an outdoor water filter and an indoor water filter for kitchen. The water flow to house may looks clear, but upon filtering, the brown material accumulates quicky in less than a week.

To filter the water, I have to keep the tap flowing until the smell disappear. From time to time, the indoor filter accumulates a layer of brown material that is presumed to be the rust.

For the outdoor filter, I have to flush out the residues almost every week. However I found out it cannot filter the water effectively and causing the indoor filter to turn brown quickly.

I have been suspecting the outdoor filter may have been malfunctioned due to excessive filtering of the browny water.

How am I going to resolve this? I have been living in this house for months and suffering from water supply issue.

Hi, i am new to investment thingy. For the last few months I have resorted ways of positioning my savings into an investment, from FD to forex. Until recently i had decided to abort the FD and recreate an account for E-FD so to ease my deposit.

Upon cancelling the FD, i was approached by a banker who mentions about equity funds that provide more interest than current FD in a short period of 3 years. I was interested so have decided to sign up for this.

Any expert care to shed some light about this? I wont mind to bleed as the result of this as i still have some basic savings each month.

Hi F&F sifus, anybody here can recommend a good workshop around kepong, sg buloh or ttdi?

The car is wira sedan basic model (with plain bumpers).

1) I need a full repaint on the car, with solid color, sky blue, and only exterior.

2) There is a long scratch scretching from front driver toward rear wheel, starting from below the door handle.

3) Another would be dents and paint residues from unknown accident, at the front passenger door a minor dent just below the door handle and the rear passenger door another minor dent is adjacent to the front passenger door (car has been lent from uncle, was in this state once i had got it).

The bumpers need no respray to leave it as is.
