Phone number banned/blocked by Telco

We have been told by many people or advertising companies that if anyone publish a phone number in an advertisement banner/poster…etc, the number can be banned/blocked by telco, if authority (or government) want to take action against the publication (eg. if the area not allow for the ads poster).

Question is, it is just a circulated rumor, or Telco will ban the advertised number ? Have you heard of this before ? for example, Ah Long 大耳窿 poster with their number, (whether mobile or 03 fixed line phone number) can really be banned, as if unpaid long outstanding number.

If we wish to get a brand new “03” phone number, not mobile number, and the incoming calls can be received by us. Is there any faster way, by wirelessly, can mobile telco can provide a “03” phone number ? instead of 012, 019, 016...etc

Third party asking for software serial numbers

We received an email (see the image below) regarding a program sent by external party (mysoftwarewatch.org) about software license compliance. They are requesting us to submit the software inventory together with our software serial numbers.

This email domain name is just about 1-2 month old and it own by Ronald Chua under company named IP Strategic Xperts (ISX) Sdn Bhd which is not doing work for BSA. So, we are wondering whether it is ok and safe to send them with our software serial numbers which can be misuse or hacked by other for wrongly use.

1. Why the sender email is not directly from BSA.org ?
2. Why mysoftwarewatch.org email domain do not have proper website about their activities?
3. Mysoftwarewatch.org domain is brand newly registered, only 1-2 months ago. Can be trusted?
4. Is it safe for consumer to provide/reveal our software serial numbers to third party?
5. How do they can validated those serial no. with the original software developers?

I expecting the email attachment is similar to those letter for OPS Tulen Semak..etc. Please advise. Thank you.

In Android Market, i cannot find the Google+ why is that so ?

What do i need to enable some Android apps to be shown in my Samsung Captivate ? is it something to do with Market Enabler ? or due to Captivate not a international model of Galaxy S ?

Same so for Google Blogger is not available in my Samsung Captivate (Rooted, Froyo 2.2 with Andromeda3 firmware)

How can I go about it? Please advise. Thanks so much.

how to check if a site can b trusted

How do i know a website can be trusted ? i have a website is rather suspicious, it has no identity and ownership, also the trading transactions is not with HTTPS link, and the my friend reported that they can easy earn money from there. How to I validate if it is from reliable sources? I have tried to google more on this, but i couldn't find anything about the site is fake. Please advise. Thank you.

When I "Like" xxx in Facebook, my FB friends

In FaceBook, when I have clicked to "Like" a brand/company/product/website...etc, later on, whenever "they" post something to update me and it appear in my "News Feed", and thus all my Facebook friends will also get the same update as well... Is it true ? If yes, is it annoying ? How can prevent this ?

Learn linux by Malaysia universities' students

I am wondering the IT subjects or IT course offered by local universities (Malaysia), is Linux part of the learning or compulsory subjects ?
In other words, I just wish to know whether Malaysia universities have some kind of enforcement, to ensure IT students are trained with Linux skills ? if yes, may I know which universities ?

HyperX memory so hot until it causing board faulty

My computer spec is below, and it is running fine even if it is not shutdown for few days.
>> Intel Core2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz
>> Intel DG35EC Desktop Board
>> Kingston HyperX 6400 (2 pieces with 2GB each)

But when i add another 2 pieces RAM (exactly same brand same model same capacity) into the board and it is now 4 pieces (8GB), the RAM become so hot. I mean it is much much hotter than if just only 2 pieces running.

If it running for some time or with some applications, it auto reboot itself (i believe due to too hot) after few reboot and then the board become faulty - boot with blank screen and don't able to see the POST/BIOS display -- complete black screen like no electric power. There is no sign of burning in the CPU unit.

Then I replace with new board only (same model), but the rest items (RAM, power supply, harddisk...etc) remain the same, it running fine again if only 2 pieces of RAM.

Again I try to add 2 RAMs, then again the same thing happen.

OK, then again I replace with new board (same board), but this time, i use 4 pieces RAM with Kingston ValueRAM instead of the 4 pieces of HyperX and the rest remains same. and the system can run again without problem even i run many applications or even after 1 weeks never shutdown.

Please advice. Why the board can actually support and run 4 pieces of RAM, but is with Kingston Value RAM and not HyperX ? Does anybody experience this similar problem ?
