I recently attended a workshop in KL. It was morning 9am and I never slept the night before.
You know how tired people are always thirsty, so I brought a bottle of mineral water with me.

During the workshop, a Malay guy was sitting beside me and I kept drinking water once in a while. Then later again while I was talking to a female Malay with my bottle of water, and I subconsciously took a few sips while talking to her. I noticed she purposely looked away, and immediately the whole puasa taboo came in my head.

I feel quite bad after that, and wanna know if it's something serious. I know I should be more cautious, but I was really tired in that morning. I was in this semi-auto-pilot mode the entire day.

I don't have many Malay friends due to the way I was brought up, so /k/ please educate me. Thanks.

The "I can, you cant" attitude

I'm not sure what's the right term to refer to such an attitude, and it's the only kind I don't know how to deal with.
It happens in many forms and here're few examples:

- Straightforward: Always claim they're straightforward person and expect everyone to be straightforward as well. Always shoot people around them, but go crazy when you start giving blunt opinion back

- Egoist: Always talk about their own achievements and insult everyone else's. Forcing you to be in 'listen mode' only

- Playful: Like to prank their friends or colleagues, but get angry easily when you do the same.

I find it difficult for me to handle people like this, simply because I'm more of a social-imitation kind of person. I can be serious when you're serious, or playful when you're playful. But people with these "I can, you can't" attitude really driving me crazy.

Ever encountered someone like this?

/k/ what's your favorite McD set lunch?

I realize most people go to McD is on auto-pilot mode. Meaning, they dont know what to eat, but yet wanna eat something slightly higher price to release stress sikit (pamper ourselves). Most of the time will ended up ordering the same thing, eventually became a habit.

Just some random hypothesis I have. For me, I always order Spicy Chicken McDeluxe. Though I always tell myself to try something different like Big Mac, but will always end up ordering Spicy Chicken McDeluxe. Haha

I bet not many people have tried Big N Tasty

Smelly car (blood...)

Ok, before anyone goes wild with their creative mind, here's the story behind:

My dog was suffering last week, and I brought her to vet with my CR-V. I placed her in the car boot and she vomited loads of blood on the way. I had entire area covered with newspaper, so the stains isn't so bad. Problem is the smell, the strong smell of blood (sour-ish) is unbearable, and I had to drive with all 4 windows down.

Any tips on removing the odor? Thanks /k/.

Oh, and she is okay now, just returned from vet this morning .

Worth buying PS3 now?

Hey guys, I know it sounds really outdated. But I'm not a hard core gamer so I delayed quite some time before finally decided to get a PS3.

I owned both PS1 and PS2, but ever since then I entered college and life has been on a highway. Finally at my final semester and going to graduate end of this year.

Feeling bored lately, and decided to get a PS3. I know PS4 is coming out, but it seems a little pricey for my budget. Moreover, the main motivation for me to get PS3 is because of the Final Fantasy series. Would like to get some input from game experts out there.

I also noticed that a new set doesn't cost much difference compared to used one. So I'd rather go for new set.

'argue' with lecturer?

Lecturer is always right?
I know some lecturer really open up for discussion, and they love you when you try to prove them wrong.

But...not so much in Malaysia I guess? Especially you know that the lecturer is proud of him/herself. And they kind of expect you to respect them.

So what happens when... let say u received unreasonable marks for your assignment or test?
Do you guys actually discuss with the lecturer (which can turned up to be a heaty one) or just go along with it?

Sometimes there can be many answers to one question, especially opinion-based ones. There are times where questions not clearly expressed, a missing 'the' 'an' can make lots of difference. And when your test paper is returned..u go like "meh...so thats what he/she wants".
