General Procedure for designing a website

1) Discussed thoroughly with your clients on what they want and how you gonna do it.
2) Draw out a Website Structure. Creating a Website Structure is vital, because it can guide us through the whole process of building up the website thus decreasing the mistakes we might make.
3) After all the formal stuffs, designers will start to do sketches and draft out the ideas.
4) Discuss again with the clients on the sketches, and get the approval from them.
5) Once everything is approved, it's time to build up the Visuals of some main pages, such as, Home page, About us Page, Contact us Page. The content of a page is important. From every title, every slogan, every write up, to every color you use, images, or vectors bring in different mode/atmosphere to the viewers.
6) Get approval from the clients again once you've done everything you suppose to do. After all these, you can start to translate it into codes/database. And you'll sure have to work together with the webmasters on developing the website, and make sure that the site is running smoothly.

In conclusion, your knowledge on website designing is essential, that's why experience is the key to it. Do more, and you'll get more. Practice makes perfect.

Differences between web design and graphic design

Web design is pretty much what it sounds like- it's designing for the internet, whether it's creating websites or working in programs like Flash. Also, you do have to be some what creative when designing websites, but I know some web design majors who prefer the coding part rather than the design part.

Graphic design is designing mostly for print, with some designing for the web (ex: banner ads). In graphic design you can do numerous things like working on layouts for magazines, creating logos or designing packaging for consumer goods.

As far as income goes, it all depends on where you live, how much experience you have and what your job title is. A junior designer obviously won't be making as much as a senior designer or an art director. You'll just have to do some of your own research to figure out how much a graphic designer makes versus a web designer.

5 Ways to Make Website SEO Friendly

1. Make it Simple

Try to make your site as simple as you can. Make use of white spaces on your site so that it visually also pleases visitors. Use appropriate font color with contrasting backgrounds. Less is more. It will help to make important elements more eye catching.

2. Avoid JavaScript

Try to avoid excessive use of JavaScript or any other scripting language on your web page. I have been using social monkee for quite some time.
It kinda helps me speed up a lot when it comes to back linking. Now I can post up to 300 links a day.
What I do was, create an article with all the links inside, then submit it, and it will automatically submit 300 post in a day.

Server Back Up

As everyone knows, it is very important to have server backup.
Some companies does it once a day, and keep them up to 7 days.
However, some companies do not back up AT ALL.

I have customers complaining to me about their previous experience with an overseas hosting provider,
mentioning about server down, then next thing, emails, database, web files, all gone, and no back up.
All the Hosting company did was a sorry and not even compensate.

Hi guys,

I've been blogging for years and have been using nuffnang for year.

The thing I don't understand is, I have a friends blog, we have a testing on his blog. we get 10 ppl to click on his ads spread out in a day, after a month, we still dun see the earning going up at all, not even RM 0.01.

Another thing is, how much do they pay? Sometimes I get like RM0.0+ only. Don't they have like a standardized amount?

Just like me. I tried using those preinstalled script like OS commerce and zen cart, which turns out kinda hard to use.

I prefered something tht you can do without learning much.
Something like Blogspot, everything is there.
Too bad Blog spot is not there for Shopping cart.

Keywords count and title on HTML page

When coming to internet marketing, I saw very few people using keywords inside the web page but a lot of them start to use title instead of keyword, do you know what is the reason behind that? Please share if you know. Thanks
