LDR during the pandemic

Hey guys,

Just wanted to have your opinion.

My SO and I were currently on LDR relationship.

It has been 3 months plus since we last meet since she work in borneo.

Back then, she promised me, when the relaxation rules from the Gov is on, then she would come back and visit.

However, now she is quoting the high number of covid cases and being paranoid of going back. (Gov has allowed LDR couples to meet regardless of PPN phases).

For us and our families, we have all got our vaccinations.

Is it wrong for me to feel a bit irked and annoyed by this?

Waiting for the case to drop as 0 would be very unrealistic at this point. That is why I'm a bit mad about this paranoia. How would you feel?

I have installed VIU in my Xiaomi Smart TV

Upon watching it, I have noticed shows like "Running Man" didn't appear on the TV, but available on web/ apps.

Upon checking with VIU, this is their reply:

As per checking, the content is not available for the device platform you are using. This is because of the content for right and release that has been stated by the production company itself. There are in certain circumstances that certain content is not viewable under the following devices. We suggest you proceed to stream the content through a browser or app.

This is so dissapointing.

Did anyone else using VIU on other TV brands and encountered this issue as well?

Advice on unifi ordering without my consent

Wanna ask you something

Last time I did enquire about TM's mesh wifi so long ago

However after almost 2 weeks when I applied , Unifi gave me the email saying that the application is not processed due to not having sufficient data

Me who thinks its a hassle to go under TM then proceeds to buy my own Mesh, and ignoring that email

Suddenly after another 2 weeks, got an email saying the product has been shipped?

I seriously am mad with them since they are doing this without any of my consent.

Any avenues on how I can lodge a complain? If its too late should i just sell the extra unit?

Kuala Berang: Polis mengambil masa lebih sejam mengejar kereta dipandu lelaki yang memandu dalam keadaan berbogel, sebelum ditahan di hadapan sebuah rumah di Kampung Batu 18, di sini, hari ini.

Terdahulu, lelaki yang dipercayai mempunyai masalah mental melarikan diri selepas melanggar sekatan jalan raya (SJR) Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) di Kampung Bukit Jong, Kuala Terengganu, pada 12.15 tengah hari.

Ketika melarikan diri, lelaki yang memandu kereta Honda City itu melanggar 12 lampu isyarat, tiga SJR PKP dan tiga kenderaan awam.

Ketua Polis Daerah Hulu Terengganu, Deputi Superintendan Mohd Adli Mat Daud berkata, sebaik melanggar SJR di Bukit Jong, lelaki berusia 45 tahun dari Taman Sinn, Semabok, Melaka itu dikatakan memecut kenderaannya menghala ke bandar Kuala Terengganu sebaik menyedari kenderaannya dikejar kereta peronda sektor Balai Chabang Tiga, Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kuala Terengganu yang sedang membuat rondaan Ops Covid-19.

"Lelaki terbabit juga tidak mengendahkan arahan berhenti yang dikeluarkan polis sebanyak tujuh kali sebaik kenderaannya melalui persimpangan lampu isyarat Jalan Tuanku Mizan berhampiran Perpustakaan Awam Negeri sebelum menghala ke persimpangan lampu isyarat Bukit Besar.

"Kenderaan terbabit kemudian terus memecut memasuki Jalan Kuala Berang dan melanggar 12 lampu isyarat dan tiga SJR sebelum ditahan di Kuala Berang," katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.

Mohd Adli berkata, ketika melarikan diri, lelaki terbabit turut merempuh kenderaan lain, iaitu sebuah kereta dan dua motosikal.

Katanya, kemalangan pertama membabitkan sebuah kereta dipandu seorang wanita di persimpangan lampu isyarat Kampung Kubang Parit, manakala kemalangan kedua membabitkan sebuah motosikal ditunggangi seorang lelaki.

Menurutnya, pihaknya belum dapat memastikan kecederaan dialami dua mangsa terbabit.

Katanya, kemalangan ketiga berlaku di KM 30, Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Bukit Besi berhampiran Kampung Bukit Perah, Ajil, di sini, selepas kenderaan terbabit melanggar SJR PKP di Batu 18 Ajil.

"Mangsa seorang wanita yang menunggang motosikal Yamaha NVX biru patah bahu kiri dan luka di bahagian kepala.

"Kerani berusia 46 tahun dari Kampung Batu 24, di sini, dikejarkan ke Hospital Hulu Terengganu untuk rawatan lanjut," katanya.

Mohd Adli berkata, berlaku sedikit pergelutan sebelum lelaki terbabit berjaya ditahan sebelum dibawa ke hospital bagi mendapat rawatan segera selepas mengalami luka kecil di kepala, pipi kiri, kaki dan tangan.

"Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 42 APJ 1987 kerana memandu secara berbahaya dan melulu. Semakan rekod mendapati lelaki terbabit menghidap masalah sakit mental iaitu Schizophrenia.

"Ujian air kencing, darah dan ujian saringan Covid-19 turut dilakukan dan keputusannya negatif Covid-19," katanya sambil menambah siasatan lanjut masih dijalankan.

PUTRAJAYA: The government is looking into relaxing restrictions for those who are fully vaccinated, including allowing people to travel or dine at restaurants, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin

The Prime Minister said this is part of the national recovery plan as the country gradually adjusts towards returning to normal life.

“I’ve asked for relaxation to be considered for those who have received two vaccine doses. This could be for their travel or dining in at restaurants. This will show that while we battle with Covid-19, we can gradually return to normal life," he said.

“The national recovery plan will take until the end of the year, so let’s be patient. Be confident that we can win this war,” added Muhyiddin at a press conference after witnessing preparations for the national Prihatin food basket programme at the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry here on Thursday (July 15).

Muhyiddin said the national vaccination programme is a “light at the end of the tunnel” in the country’s battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We managed to vaccinate over 421,000 people in a day, and hopefully this can be maintained. Now, our focus is the greater Klang Valley. Through our targeted measures, we can deal with the Covid-19 infections better," said Muhyiddin.

“We hope that our vaccine supplies will also continue increasing this month and next, so we can keep to our projection of completing the recovery plan by the end of the year,” added the Prime Minister.

Also present at the event was Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun.

At the event, Muhyiddin received contributions worth RM16mil from five corporate companies for the Prihatin food basket programme.
