Hello all, I have took up a loan with Maybank for my house purchase.
Just wanted to ask, what is this Advance Payment available for Redraw.

Is this like where I pay more to reduce the interest ? Or do I need to go over to the counter to inform the banker there ? I have tried looking around before posting this question, but all seems vague.

Hi guys, hope the sensei's here can help me out.
I have a budget of RM 500- 600 and currently I am in a dilemma to choose between these two monitors for console gaming (PS4)

Both are IPS panels, but the LG has the following pros :

24 Inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS Display
1ms Blur Reduction
AMD FreeSync
On-Screen Control
4 Screen Split
Audio Out only

Meanwhile as for Dell, well the pros for me I guess :

22 inch slightly smaller diagonally
Good thin bezel-less design
Has speakers
Has Audio Out and Audio In

How ?! Which is better in terms of gaming on PS4.
Which has better color representation, personally am confident with LG since they're making TVs as well but I am unsure in terms of monitor wise ?
Also can Audio Out connect to an external speaker ?

Hi, I am currently in my first job in a Japanese MNC consumer electronics company (engineering dept.) - 3 months in.
Day by day I am feeling that this job is not the type of job that I am seeking for, although my boss is good (not those bossy chinaman types)
but somehow I felt like jumping to another field and not sticking with this "traditional" engineering job.

*traditional as in which needs you to do soldering, troubleshooting on-board problems, basically technical stuffs

Or maybe I'm not fit for Engineering kind of jobs.
Sigh, would like to ask you guys opinion on what makes you love your job. Maybe can change my insight on this job.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160

Hi guys, anyone actually bought a laptop with the Intel network adapter and encounter super slow and unstable wifi connection ?

I bought an Acer laptop recently and much to my disappointment, my 8 yrs old Toshiba laptop is able to have 10x better connection compared to the Acer laptop, and don't get me started on the wifi signal stability of the Acer laptop..... it's a disaster.

Checked for updates, etc. still no avail.

Of course both laptops are in the same placement, router in ground floor, both laptops (Toshiba and Acer) are in my room in the first floor.

Maybe anyone who has experienced this before mind to share on how rectify it ?

My router 802.11n, N300, D-link Model DIR-615.
Using Unifi 10Mbps.

I am actually considering on getting a repeater to place it on the first floor, but maybe asking here first would benefit before purchasing one.

Wifi Repeater

Hi guys, would like to ask what brand of repeater/wifi booster are you guys using.

Since I am living in the first floor and the modem is placed in the ground floor, the signal bar is pretty weak in my room (corner room).

In terms of choosing repeater what usually needs to be met for the router ? I am afraid if I spend too much (budget around RM 300) on the repeater and then the router could not support it as I've googled around saying that the router needs to meet the specifications of some certain high-end repeaters.

I am currently using this Unifi 10Mbps with this router ONU HUAWEI HG8240W and another one D-LINK DIR-615
Also dual band repeaters are not recommended right ? I read from this thread where TXSim mentioned that dual band is only suitable for 100Mbps users.
