I have Rm2500 to splurge and what should i do?

Hey all,

My budget is Rm2500 for a 14" laptop and I would like to use it primarily for work. I would also want the laptop to run games like SC2 and the upcoming Diablo 3 (in which i hope wont be as graphically demanding such as Crysis 2 etc as I would have to fork out more cash then ). I realize there are good laptops within this price range such as the Asus N43SL, Dell Inspiron 14R N4410 or the new AcerSpire 4755G that would cater to my needs. My question is should I wait a few more months until a better laptop comes out at a cheaper price for performance? Or those are the best there is and I should just go with the current models? Thanks!

Samsung RC 420 laptop

Hi all,

I am new here and I am intending to buy a laptop for below RM2.5k. I went to House of Notebooks in Megamall and the salesperson there recommended me the Samsung RC 420. He mentioned that this is a better buy than the Dell and HP that I was looking at. Here are the specs for the Samsung:

Intel Core i5 2410M (2nd gen)
2 GB DDR3
640 GB HDD
1 GB NVIDIA 315M
Windows 7 Home Premium

My usage is mostly for work, HD movies and light gaming. My question is whether this laptop is worth my dough. Also, is Samsung a good laptop brand generally and what are the issues in regards to it? I am also open to recommendations. Thanks!
