My Car got knocked

Hi all,

My car got knocked last nite around 3am or 4am around my neighbourhood, I know who knocked my car as I saw the paint still stuck on that person's car and he's still parking right infront of me.

I spoke to his wife this morning, she was telling me that her husband was out drinking last nite, only came back around 3 or 4 this morning, hasn't woke up, so ask me to return an hour later. After an hour, I decided to look for him again, at the same time he and his son was walking towards his car wanting to go out.

So I talked to him nicely telling him that he knocked my car last nite and the paint is still stuck on his car, immediately his son went to remove the chipped paint off the car. After that he told me he didn't do it and deny everything, and just drive off.

I'm not sure if I can make a police report on it, as I didn't saw the incident myself, and his wife probably won't admit that he's been drinking last nite. However I have taken pictures of the damage and also the paint on his car.

Anything I can do to claim from him, I know chances are slim but advice are welcome. Thanks for reading.
