Hi guys, I am 22 years old now, but I still think as I am still a child, it is only me or ?????????? Whenever I see my friends nowadays, I feel like they are more matured than me. Of course, I have much knowledge than them but I don't know why I think that I am still as a kid but they are like adults. Am I the only one? I think I am not matured with my age yet. And one of my female friends, she is one of the beauties, she got married in last year, it means she got married on 21 years old, she is rich so ........... and later when she starts to have a kid, she is having a kid around 23 years old, I am wondering how they can manage a kid? Tech startup OnePlus debuted its first smartphone called the One, combining a sleek and customizable appearance with some really powerful specifications.

Launched under the company mantra, "never settle," the OnePlus One sports a 5.5-inch, full HD screen, a quad-core, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16/64GB of storage.

The 13-megapixel camera on the back has a Sony Exmor sensor as well as dual-LED flash, and can take 4K video. The device also has a 5-megapixel camera on the front, NFC, LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, built-in stereo speakers and a 3,100 mAh battery. It weights 162 grams. Its 8.9mm frame is slightly rounded, which makes it just 4.6mm thick at the edges.

Put all that together, and you get a smartphone that can — on paper — hold its own against any other flagship on the market. OnePlus calls it the "2013 flagship killer".

What sets the OnePlus One apart from most flagships is its magnesium-based case with easily interchangeable covers. The company will offer variants ranging from wood, bamboo, kevlar and even denim.

On the software side, the One runs CyanogenMod 11S, a custom Android ROM based on Android 4.4. The CyanogenMod software is highly customizable, but there's another reason why it's been chosen for the One. The phone's maker OnePlus is headed by Peter Lau, previously vice president of electronics manufacturer Oppo, which used CyanogenMod as the basis for its N1 phone. Oppo actually built the OnePlus One as well, and the two devices are pretty similar when it comes to specifications.

The OnePlus One will be available from the second quarter of 2014 in the U.S., Canada, the UK, certain parts of Europe, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The 16GB variant will cost just $299 unlocked. On April 25, OnePlus will run a special "Smash" competition in which you can get One for just $1.

Smoking 'rots' brain, says King's College study

Smoking "rots" the brain by damaging memory, learning and reasoning, according to researchers at King's College London.

A study of 8,800 people over 50 showed high blood pressure and being overweight also seemed to affect the brain, but to a lesser extent.

Scientists involved said people needed to be aware that lifestyles could damage the mind as well as the body.

Their study was published in the journal Age and Ageing.

Researchers at King's were investigating links between the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke and the state of the brain.

Data about the health and lifestyle of a group of over-50s was collected and brain tests, such as making participants learn new words or name as many animals as they could in a minute, were also performed.

They were all tested again after four and then eight years.

Decline
The results showed that the overall risk of a heart attack or stroke was "significantly associated with cognitive decline" with those at the highest risk showing the greatest decline.

It also said there was a "consistent association" between smoking and lower scores in the tests.

One of the researchers, Dr Alex Dregan, said: "Cognitive decline becomes more common with ageing and for an increasing number of people interferes with daily functioning and well-being.

"We have identified a number of risk factors which could be associated with accelerated cognitive decline, all of which, could be modifiable."

He added: "We need to make people aware of the need to do some lifestyle changes because of the risk of cognitive decline."

The researchers do not know how such a decline could affect people going about their daily life. They are also unsure whether the early drop in brain function could lead to conditions such as dementia.

Heart and brain
Dr Simon Ridley, from Alzheimer's Research UK, said: "Research has repeatedly linked smoking and high blood pressure to a greater risk of cognitive decline and dementia, and this study adds further weight to that evidence.

"Cognitive decline as we age can develop into dementia, and unravelling the factors that are linked to this decline could be crucial for finding ways to prevent the condition.

"These results underline the importance of looking after your cardiovascular health from mid-life."

The Alzheimer's Society said: "We all know smoking, a high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and a high BMI [Body Mass Index] is bad for our heart. This research adds to the huge amount of evidence that also suggests they can be bad for our head too.

"One in three people over 65 will develop dementia but there are things people can do to reduce their risk.

"Eating a balanced diet, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, getting your blood pressure and cholesterol checked and not smoking can all make a difference."

My first love story

The sky was cloudy and the temperature is decreasing and many people feel cool on that day. It was the day where I met my first love. Many students just finished their high school exams (Myanmar Matriculation Exams) on March and taking the courses as IELTS, basic computer skill, Japanese language and LCCI courses. I also enrolled in IELTS course. At that day, I saw one pretty girl who doesn't use umbrella and walking toward the class. It was the morning class therefore many people are sleepy and can't concentrate for a while. She sat in front of me and her eyes looks a like she was so sleepy. I am never late to any of my classes before (but since I met her, I also become as her, always late to the class and sleepy) It was the first time I saw a girl who is pretty, cute, loyal, not-boring type, not-sexy, smart, high standard and lovingly. Her name is "HOK". Her English accent is totally bad but she really tried to improve it. I told her that she couldn't enroll to some high ranking universities in Myanmar but she said she could enroll it. Later she went to study in Medical Technology University. Later it was my first time in my heart that my heart is beating a lot. Because it was the first time I started to feel what is the meaning of love.

Why are people surprised I never had a girlfriend?

I was speaking with a friend the other day and he has had a few problems with his girlfriend. He suddenly asked me what would I do in his situation and I had no way to answer. I told him I've never had a girlfriend so I could only say what common sense says.

He was astonished. He was even more surprised when he knew I had never kissed anyone as well.

Not that I go around telling everybody my private life but this had already happened before with a couple of others friends.

I'm 22 btw.

College LIfe without having a girlfriend

Hi guys, I am just amazed one thing because so many friends of mine asked me why I don't have a girlfriend in my college life. And one of my friends asked me he wants to get a girlfriend in his college life to enjoy the college life. I am 21 years old and without my college life I didn't have any girlfriends because I don't see anyone to date. But sometimes I admit that when I see couples I feel jealous but it is nothing. How many of you guys passed the college life without having a girlfriend? As for me, being alone is better, because I can control my time. I have several relationships before I came to Malaysia to study. But mostly it only last around 2 months. Some people ask me to date with some local girls but I have constraints that if I date Malay girls (religious case), Chinese girl (political case), Indian girl (political case). And our culture is like before we get married, we can't sleep around and I always control that fact. At the same time, I do realize that most of the people nowadays, instead of having an actual conversation, they are using mobile phones and enjoying it. Actually I really feel sorry for my friend when he asked me, because instead of having a career goal, he is thinking about it. I told him that after he got a great job there will be so many girls he can date and hang out, but he is afraid that he can't find a virgin girl around his age. Sometimes I really don't know how to explain to other people. My friend was studying at medical college so I can assume that he is busy with his studies. Any ideas that I can explain him in the way as normal people can understand? Sometimes I explain in the way as some normal people can't catch up what I mean.
