Lost Netbook

I lost my HP Mini 110-3004TU due to my own carelessness and absent-mindedness. I've already made a police report and "investigated" the area but it's still gone. The netbook came free with the Streamyx Unipack so it's not the monetary value that matters to me (though it took me some ordeal to get it). Rather, it is the irreplaceable data inside missing that's upsetting me the most. I know for sure that whoever has taken it stays in my condo area (PV3) so I plan to put up notices asking them to at least return my data. Keep the netbook if he wants it that much.

Of course there are many things that I should've done to prevent this from happening but it has already happened and I'm still in disbelief especially at a time when I have so many negative things going on in my life. Laptop crashed, housemates ran away without paying rent... just to name a few.

I can't guarantee that it won't happen again because for some stupid reason my mind is programmed to be forgetful and it wanders with everything that I do. Simply trying to be more alert and focused is not as easy as just telling myself to do it. If anyone knows of any supplements that I can take, book that I can read to improve my brain, do reccommend. Now I'm losing small things like laptop and wallet but it won't be long before I lose even more important things in my life.

Anyway, the serial number is CNC0243K84. If anyone happened to have stolen a misplaced HP Mini, I only ask that you return my data. That's all I want. You have no use for them and they're worth nothing to you nor can you sell them for anything. Please just give them back to me.

I'm not sure where I can get advice from but I hope this is the right place.

I've come to know that budding makeup artists can collaborate with other budding photographers as well as models and hairstylists for test shot sessions so that they can help each other out in building their portfolio.

I'm not sure how do I go about this.
Feeding Raw

I've personally been feeding raw and fresh food to 2 of my dogs and my cat and I have seen the difference in just one month. Body odour has decreased, less shedding, no more smelly breath, small amount of poop and doggies and kitty with a very good appetite. No more left overs. Compared to my 3rd dog who is still on kibbles.

Before any flaming begins, here are a few misconceptions that I'd like to clear up:

Misconception 1: Feeding my dog raw food will cause it to be vicious.

Truth: When a carnivore that is fed an non-adequate diet finally gets a hold of what it is genetically programmed to perceive as "real food" (i.e. raw food), it is not going to let go of that precious possession easily! Such a stressed animal will be inclined to do almost anything to protect its treasure, including showing aggressive behavior of unusual intensity.

A dog that is used to getting raw meat and raw meaty bones as regular ingredients in its meals, will value those ingredients, sure - but not care too much. Heck, it will get more later! It will not be desperate to protect it...

However, if you want your domesticated wolf to show aggressive food protection behavior, then feed it kibble and wait till it, by accident, gets a hold of a delicious meaty bone - and you will be unprepared for the aggression! (Sorry for being jaded - but this is, of course, this way some people get to think that raw meat or meaty bones make dogs vicious!)

The solution is simple: feed your dog a natural diet on a consistent basis - and you will need true provocation to trigger aggressive food protection behaviors...

Misconception 2: Raw food is dirty and attracts alot of bacteria

Truth: Dogs and cats are NOT humans. They have a very different digestive tract and process. For example, we can eat all the onion we want without harm, but some dogs can get anemic from a single, small portion of them. We can eat a pound of baker's chocolate and merely get fat or nauseous, while dogs can die from even a lesser amount. We can get very sick from raw meat, while dogs thrive on it as their natural diet. Again, they are NOT human.

Compared to us, dogs and cats have a very short digestive system, which means that foods are processed quickly -- before harmful bacteria have a chance to multiply and cause problems. Also, carnivores have a very high level of acidity in their digestive systems. This high acidity, which allows them to break down the nutrients in raw meats and bones, is also hostile to bacteria. We've all seen dogs eat true garbage (rotten foods, decaying squirrel carcasses, etc.) without any ill effects. Nature did not evolve carnivores to eat a diet that would kill them. And remember, we aren't suggesting you feed spoiled, contaminate foods.

Why feed raw food instead of commercial pet food?

Cats and dogs are carnivores, or meat-eaters. Yet ALL dry commercial pet foods are at least 60% (or more) grain because the carbohydrates are needed to hold the food together. Dogs and cats have no dietary requirement for carbohydrate. Does it make sense to feed our carnivores a diet that contains at least 60% of a substance they don't even need? Additionally, carbohydrates are metabolized by the body to glucose (sugar) which is known to feed cancers, diabetes and many other disorders that now plague our companion animals. If grains and vegetables were a primary nutrient source, you'd see cats and dogs stalking ears of corn and heads of wheat.

Raw diets simulate the menu that nature intended carnivores to eat. When a carnivore eats an herbivore like a rabbit, the carnivore eats some meat, some bone, some organ meats (liver, heart, kidney, etc.), and some green vegetation contained in the herbivore's digestive tract. That's nature's perfect meal - the meal that raw diets replicate.

Also,

The quality of ingredients in commercial dog food is not all that great. Meat and animal by-products are, by definition, not meat, yet the pet food industry uses them--almost exclusively--as their animal protein source. Poultry heads, feet, entrails, animal parts (such as cancer-ridden tissues) condemned for human consumption, dead fetuses from slaughtered cows, spoiled supermarket meats, and the carcasses of animals that died before reaching the renderer, are all considered fit for pet foods. In most states (US), even dead dogs and cats from shelters and veterinary clinics are acceptable ingredients.

The Benefits of Feeding Raw

- a longer and healthier life ie. 17-19 years in good health
- less vet visits as your dog won't suffer from liver problems that many dogs posess due to the intake of commercial pet food
- Soft, shiny coat with little shedding
- Clean teeth and no smelly breath
- Cheaper because you can use fresh ingredients that you use for yourself

But if you are still very sceptical about feeding raw to your cats and dogs, I'd suggest that at least choose food that contains less grain and more meat for example Evo.
Pure Breed and Mongrels

I find it rather weird how many people are simply obsessed with pure bred dogs or dogs that look pure bred. I'd understand if they wanna show their dogs or want them for a specific purpose that pure bred dogs can possibly offer but for those who merely wants a pet dog. those who aren't really into training their dogs. Why so insistent on having a "pure bred" dog?

Another thing is that I find many people who thinks that only the pure bred dogs deserve to have the best food, best nutrition and sent to the vet whenever there's an itsy bitsy problem with them... whereas when it comes to the mongrels.... leftovers would do.. don't care if they run out into the streets and why bother sending it to the vet if it's sick.

Shouldn't all dogs, pure bred and mongrel, deserve the same love and care? I just feel that it's unfair how mongrels are being pushed aside. I personally don't believe in purchasing a dog. I fully support keeping of mongrels and giving them the best even though I obtained them for free. I love how they have so much personality. They may not always be obedient but they are definitely loyal as a dog should be and they provide me with great companionship. They do things that are so unpredictable and enlightning.

so, what are your thoughts about pure bred dogs and mongrels? do you honestly give them equal treatment?

The Story of Jamie

I was at a pet store, adopting a kitty when I saw Jamie and his friend munching on carrots in a tiny guppy tank. I knew what they were there for. Not to be loved nor appreciated but to be brutally murdered. Jamie stood out from the other for he was the first type of his kind that I've ever seen. I may have always feared his species but I had no fear for him. I couldn't resist it, so I took him out from that tiny tank. He was so gentle and tame, never attempted to bite nor acted nervously. Although he did left some rather moist droppings and pee on me, but I knew he was going to be mine. At times he would just stand still in my arms.

But however much I wanted to take him home with me, I knew he wasn't mine just yet. The man who owned him was coming to put him through a painful death in the afternoon, so I waited for him to come. He finally came but he criticised my idea of taking Jamie home, telling how inconvenient it was for him. Even though I offered to buy Jamie and even give him replacements, he spared no mercy in letting me keep Jamie. He was so insistent on killing him. I couldn't bare to watch and realised that my tears were pushing hard to burst from my eyes. I didn't know what happened until I realised that Jamie was spared his life all thanks to my darling Andrew, who rescued Jamie from death even though he did not approve of me keeping him but he did it because he loves me and wanted me to be happy.

Eventually, I took Jamie home with me and I look forward to giving him a happy and healthy life that he and his brothers and sisters were not intended to have. I'm even considering getting him a friend so that he wouldn't be lonely.

And that is the story of Jamie.

Adults can even take in mice and chicks.
- They are solitary creatures

I'm looking into getting one
