Taxation Advice

I'm now attached with an Aussie company, as a contract offshore staff who based in Malaysia.
Therefore I'm work from home basis, but paid in AUD (recently changed to SGD for quicker payroll process).
But I don't get EPF/SOCSO and stuff, and I even have to follow their Aussie calendar. Much like a fulltime aussie staff.

My question is in this case should I declare tax using B form or BE form? I dont even have EPF/SOCSO (despite the fact that I'm actually a fulltime employee)?

Also, is my income subjected to tax by LHDN or it should be tax-exempted considering it's foreign income?
Anyone know the right answer to this?

Foreign Income Tax

Let's say I'm hired by a foreign company that requires me to perform my job remotely from Malaysia,
They will sign me as their employee, but I'll be working from Malaysia, and the salary is TT into my account each month.

In that case, is my foreign income still taxable by LHDN?

The Spring Condo

I'm currently looking at The Spring condo off Jelutong Express Highway, the unit is selling at 350k, middle-high floor, penang bridge view, original unit.
Do you think 350k is a good price to deal or should i forgo this one and look at other places with that price?

I'm confuse as penang's property price has inflated a lot over the last two years.. if i don't buy now, it might be >400k for a same unit by next year.. (Am i over-worried? But looking at the trend, the price really increased near 100k in 2years time..)
I need more input/advice from you ppl.. please share your thoughts... thanks

C#: How to create a selection list with images

Hi experts,

How do i create a control that let user selects a item within the list with images?

what i want to achieve is a control that shows 10+ images of selection in a row (scrollable view),
user can then use left/right button on screen to scroll thru the list of images to make their selection.

Should i use ListView in this case?
I just dunno where to start..

3D modeling hardware spec

My fren needs a new hardware for his new office, he is an architect, obviously he needs some high performance CPU+GPU to render his 3D arts..
he asked me if the following spec meets his requirement (somebody offered him):

Intel Core 2 Quad q9550 2.83Ghz
DDR3 1333Mhz 2GB x 2
Gigabyte GA Motherboard
Sapphire HD-5850 1GB DDR5 256-bit
1TB Western 7200 HDD x 2

Before i tell him "Go Ahead!", i'm here seeking for your help just incase i pointed him to a wrong direction..

Firewire port FRIED!

My brother owned a panasonic camcorder..
few days ago, his camcorder cant detect by pc anymore, we tried to change cable, replaced firewire card..
but to no avail...

he took the camcorder to the dealer, they claimed that the firewire port on the device was fried..
need to send back to OEM for repair..

now my brother face a big problem, that is all the videos he shot last week cant deliver to his client..
all stored in mini DV, without the camcorder, he cant capture them into pc for editing...

i hope that somebody here from penang willing to help to address this..
we need a platform to capture all this videos from mini DV into avi files..
we can pay you for your kind effort, of coz..

p/s: can anyone of you suggest any handycam that uses mini DV?
we might consider getting another handycam for backup purpose n do capturing for the time being..

Generic Host Process Error...

My fren encounter this problem at his pc, he ask for help from me.. but i'm not sure why is this happening becoz i personally never come across this before..

when he online at home, the error just occur occassionaly during the game.. (he plays online games)
after that error, he lost the connection, he needs to reboot to recover the connection..

I attached the 2 dialogs he sent me for ur reference..
please help if u ever encounter the same problem or if you know how to solve this..

for the mean time, i asked him to turn off windows error reporting..
it doesnt mean it will suppress the error, but at least.. the annoying box doesn't come out...
thats what i think...

please advice...

Hi, is anybody here a former air stewardess or relevant?
My sister graduated SPM this year, n she is cute of coz n adequate to bcome an air stewardess, she is so desperate to join the airline but to no entry....

May someone here please point out the minimal qualification in order to interview for such application? And, is she too young for this? (she is 18, just graduated SPM)

i wonder if she needs at least a diploma cert....

Flash 8 action script

Does anyone doing flash actionscript here?
I have some problems regarding hitTest which dealing with movie clip instances..

say, i created 2 movie clips, one is a_mc, another is b_mc

and i dynamically attach movie instances of a_mc and b_mc by using

Then, my question is, how do i check the hitTest method if say 1 of the a_mc_1 instance hit one of the b_mc_1? (or a_mc_3 hit b_mc_7, consider a combination of all possibility of A instances hitting B instances.)

If i use hitTest to test on particular instance

it's working and i get the result "True" when they hitting each other.
but what my intention here is, i wanna do the hitTest of the movie clip object instead of comparing all instances together.

i tried the following:

which i using the movie clip object to test the hitTest instead of each instances, but when the instances hitting each other, i get no result out of it.
If i going to attach 100 instances of a_mc and b_mc, then how do i check each of it???

I'm in China now, going back to M'Sia 2 weeks later..
i saw a very cute Husky selling here for RM400-500, n he's CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he is only 50days++
i hope i can put him into my luggage n go back wif me...

I'm not sure if i really want to adopt him, then he is able to take flight wif me (or cargo plane)??
any document or certs to be prepared?? will he got detained by custom??
Have anyone come across this before?

hi experts, I have some questions regarding data type conversion and data access method..

Lets say i have a BCD4 value 16#1330 stored in %R9000, then i wanted to access the Upper Byte value, and move it into INT variable, which is 13 of the 16#1330, wat shud i do?

and if i would like to access a 12th bit of a WORD, value 2#01001001 11100110, which is 1 in binary, then move it into a boolean, then wat shud i do again...

or wat if i would like to write value into Upper Byte of a WORD without changing the lower Byte value... lets say we use the same example above, i wan to change the 13 to 18, so the whole word value becomes 16#1830, then how shud i do it..

i'm not sure how to manipulate data in WORD data type, hope somebody can help me out... million thx!!!!! Still new to PLC stuffs....

VB6 convert Hex to Binary

Prolink 9000s modem router PPPoE setting

Hi all the expects there,

I have some problem with PPPoE connection dialup with my modem.
My modem router (Prolink 9000s) needs me to use its bundled software to actually dialup the broadband connection. Or alternatively i may go to http://10.0.0.2 to access the administrator setting to dialup.

I find it irritating to use that software, because whenever i need to change user name to dialup, i will have to go to http://10.0.0.2 to access the setting to change username and password.

what's more bothering is tat i will have to save the setting by rebooting the modem, means i will have to wait for few minutes...
it wasn't problem to me if i rarely change it, but i'm sharing the account wif my aunt n i need to change from one to another very frequent.... so, it's bothering me juz too much...

so, i'm thinkin of if ther is way that i can use windows dialup service (the one created thru Network Connection in Control Panel) to change my username n password n dialup with that without go thru the http://10.0.0.2 or bundled dialup software..

i tried to create one n connect, but it juz no response with error: 678 (or 687..)
so, i guess ther shud be some workaround for this to work out....
any clue? help pls.....

Pendrive Pop-up GUI Guide

Been seeing many threads discussed on removable-drive (pendrive) customization on LYN recently, n ther comes ppl asking for customize GUI popup menu for pendrive. With a coincidence that i'm working on with VB fairly recently, i decided to spend some time on this fancy stuff n do some little research about it.

After some efforts from Googling, i start to work on it with those harvest.
And then i got it that far that i manage to come out with the pop-up GUI as ppl mention.. but with kinda lousy graphical design there..
(I admit i couldn't make design... )

So, here are some screenshots after i configure my pendrive with my custom-made GUI settings~

back to topic, check the link n u get the 4 files showing below. What's more should i add on... just download the zip file, un-zip it, put all the 4 files into ur pendrive's root directory.... n it's done~!!

Uhmm... to find a theme for this, i got no idea wat to do wit it, until i realize i hav my pet's portrait (Coco~~ ) wif me here, then he bcomes the theme...

To be neat... consider this:
(Version 2.2.0)
1. Unzip all 4 files into pendrive's root directory
2. Change the Splash.exe to "YourName.exe" (so tat it will changed to greet u on the flash screen)
3. Change the autorun.inf file, open up in notepad n change the "open" to new name tat u changed to the .exe file
(Note: changing .exe file name without changing this one will leads to autorun-fail.)
4. Edit "setting.ini" in notepad, edit the parameter to wateva u like it to show on screen.
5. Select all 4 files, click on "properties", check the box "Hidden"
6. Now, un-plug n plug-in again your pendrive n expect for something..

This is a lousy one tat the splash rilly need to re-design, but i couldn't spend much time on the design for the time being.. maybe will refurnish it by this weekend...
Any idea how this splash screen shud be designed?
