Hello. Sorry for the newbie-ness of this post, as i have no idea where to start.

Basically, i am looking to buy my first laptop.
I would like it to be functional (for projects and classes) while being able to play games or do other activites. Long-lasting, battery life, durable, etc.
I am able to work with the price range of around rm2-3k or below. Preferably nothing higher.

I dont really know what else to say as i am not that computer-savvy.
Is there any guide or FAQ that can help?

Treat me as if i know nothing about laptops or specs and such.
Once again, sorry.
Thank you.

Big List of Gyms

Due to the current gym i am training at closing down (PowerGymFitnessCentre in KD), i have decided to make an organized list of gyms current LYN members go to.

State gym, address, fees and equipment and a small description/your opinion

Ill continue to update this post with the gyms listed by you guys. Thanks

Ill start

Muscle Gym - Adjacent BHP on 3rd Floor in Damansara Utama (Uptown) - rm65/month, rm10/daily - lots of free weights, squat rack, DBs only go up to ~100lbs, unlimited plates and barbells. limited machines though.
Great gym. Experienced BBers. Large amount of space for a ghetto gym. Friendly people. Recommended.

Flex & Fit - Seksyen 6 Kota Damansara, Beside Subaidah Restoran - rm70/month, rm6/daily (for men) - small gym. rack, DBs go up to 100+lbs, small amount of machines.
Tiny Gym. No experienced BBers the time i was there. Limited Machines. VERY crowded during peak hours. Not worth the price IMO. Look them up on Facebook.

Top Gym - Section 2 Wangsa Maju - rm 65/month, rm4/entry - Lotsa free weights, crowded during peak hours, visit blog for a picture.
(NovusInitium)

Final Gym - Bandar Mahkota Cheras, close to Masterskill college and Aeon Jusco, above a corner lot tyre shop - rm100/month (rm80 for students) - well above average equipment.
DBs up to 135/140lbs, abundance of weight plates. With respect to equipment and weights, I dare say it's better than a majority of commercial gyms, let alone regular ghetto gyms. Downside is it can get very crowded at peak periods, i.e. after 6pm. ( -Dan)

Blitz Gym - Subang Jaya SS15, above 99 Speedmart - rm99/30days, rm8/entry - Equipment are complete with dumbbells up to 100 lbs.
A small gym that are generally for younger people. (Steven_aka_G)

Our Gym - SS2, corner lot gym above Nasi Kandar Pelita and opposite Alliance and McD - RM60 for S.Citizens, RM70 for Studs and RM80 for Adults. Rm15/entry. Equipments are pretty complete, they added more cardio machines recently. Mostly free weights, squat rack available here too and there is a bench with a olympic barbell.
People here are generally weird, super sensitive to plates clashing or any noise. and yeh, everyone here bashes steroid users. (TechnoG)

Alex's Gym - same row as Our Gym, above Babyland, and from what I heard there's a boxing ring, free PT, shower, lockets, treadmills and friendly staff. it gets crowded around 7pm too, iirc it's 25 per entry. bit pricey but hey free PT and advices. it's 430 for 3 months, not sure how much for 6 months, but you do get one month free. For a year it's 1100, with 2 months free. (hanselm)

Cobra Gym - Shah Alam/Kelana Jaya/Mahkota/Alam Dami. Rm90/month and free registration. Open 24/7 and no contract. www.cobragym.com.my (cobragym)

LeanBodiesFitnessCentre - Solaris Dutamas. rm98/month, "no joining fee and no minimum term contract". Open 24/7. 03-64116670 or http://www.leanbodies.com.my/

Bulking?

I love the gym.. i love iron.. lifting and seeing gains, honestly made me happy.I used to go gym 3-4 times a week for around 6 months. Now i stopped for around 4 months. This has been terrible for me and i am starting to feel like shit.. i don't like what i see in the mirror anymore. I want to get back to gym and be committed to it.

Right now i am 5ft2in/157cm and weighting around 115-120lbs/53-55kg at the age of 16.
I want to be around 150-170lbs/70-77kg in around 6months - a year from now with around 8-10%BF.
Yeah yeah, i know i'm small but these are my goals..

Right now, i do cardio everyday for around 45min to an hr, so i dont become fat.. (i was a track sprinter, so i like running)
I'm thinking of following Rippetoe's Starting Strength program since i've taken a long break and want to get back into the gym.

Since i was a track sprinter and lean, i had visible abs and separations in most of my muscle.
I want to look like how i did.
I've read many articles and most people have different opinions on bulking and cutting for leanness, some say its bad (like a yo-yo diet) but some say it is absolutely necessary to gain fat in order to get strong.

Is it necessary to bulk up?
I'm a big fan of visible abs (still have them but they dont look as good) and i dont want to lose them..
My lifts were okay for my weight and age when i was lifting..

Bench: 145lb
Squat: 235lb
Powerclean:150lb
Deadlift: Never maxed out..

Mamak healthy?

Well, im sure most of you go to the mamak atleast once a week and im pretty sure most of us know that some of the food arent the healthiest options.

Sometimes it is unavoidable that we find ourselves at a mamak.
But for those trying to keep their calorie intake/weight down or just trying to keep lean, what would be the healthiest options at a mamak?

Also what are some healthy options for drinks? Since most of the drinks are loaded with condensed milk or such (options aside from air kosong)

This is just a question and i want your truthful opinion. and also some suggestions.
I will not tell you why i am stuck in this dilemma.

Would it be possible to go to Form 5 SKIPPING form 4 and still getting a decent enough grade on the SPM? (decent for me is nothing below a B)
If i studied really hard and had no life except school, would it be possible??
Also how long is the school year for Form 5 until SPM?

SPM is in November so thats 10 months of school right??
Do you think it would possible for me to catch up on all the form 4 material while learning the form 5 material??

Pure Science Stream..

Deciding on the Future

Currently, i am in form 4 moving into form 5. And im scared.

With form 5 coming in, so is the SPM, which most people Say will determine your entire future. Thats what scares me the most.
I have always had an interest in health and the human body so i am thinking of following in the path of a doctor. Maybe specialize in nuerology since i have a deep interest in studying how the brain works.

Anyways..
My question is:

Is it too early for me to plan my path? I just like to have a plan
What should i do if i want to pursue into the doctor career? And how do i get there?
Is it worth studying in M'sia? Money wise, salary, colleges, etc. Would it be better if i studied in U.S/UK/Australia/Singapore?
How well should i do in my SPM if i want a scholorship/grant/loan?
What should i do after my SPM?

Hehe too many questions.
Thanks for help.

Gym near Kota Damansara

Anyone know any gyms near or in kota damansara?
Not those ridicously overpriced commercial gyms.
One of those small ghetto gyms would be fine. But it must have a power rack and a squat rack!
