F&B Consultation

Hi guys, recently I've been wanting to start my own F&B business. Currently I'm working in a senior management post in sales for a company dealing with food products(our customers are actually those in the F&B and this is also one of the reasons I wanted to invest in one), although my job is somehow related to F&B but I have totally no experience at all in setting up an eatery(be it a hawker stall, cafe or fine dine). I've tried asking one of the LYN members who once proposed somebody he/she knows to offer consultation service to newbies who are interested in the F&B but sadly the person has changed mind and refused to due to some reasons. My client who came to know suggested I meet with his friend who has been working in the F&B field for some years, where I managed to learn, well almost all the things I need to know for a small fee.

As a newbie myself, I was taught to understand the industry better and been guided by addressing questions so that I learned the below:
1) not going into the business just because people say it's a lucrative business or seeing how successful the existing players are, unless you truly understand the industry in whole.
2) understanding each type available in detail so I can decide which I want, knowing what you want determines your investment and the way you're going to operate and so.

Next is a guide through every process as below:
1) registration
2) staffing
3) advertising
4) sales/marketing
5) suppliers
6) food solutions

Each of the above will be further elaborated in details (how others are doing and more ways than the usual ones), and so.

Last, touches on some topics(franchise/selling beyond food/creativity) and insights into a highly successful outlet once owned by his master(a chef from Italy). Well, I must admit, I'm good to go. For newbies who are interested to learn a thing or two, whether it's for your would be business or just to add on your knowledge. You can PM me for details of the person my client introduced.
Business Consultation

Hi guys, recently I've been wanting to start my own F&B business. Currently I'm working in a senior management post in sales for a company dealing with food products(our customers are actually those in the F&B), although my job is somehow related to F&B but I have totally no experience at all in setting up an eatery(be it a hawker stall, cafe or fine dine). I've tried asking one of the LYN members who once proposed somebody he/she knows to offer consultation service to newbies who are interested in the F&B but sadly the person has changed mind and refused to due to some reasons. My client who came to know suggested I meet with his friend who has been working in the F&B field for some years, where I managed to learn, well almost all the things I need to know for a small fee(RM230 - from the beginning to the end). Recently there's a company being set up to provide consultation regarding this field, very new though and I ain't sure about the price yet. Will you guys(newbies that are interested to start a business in this field but with no experience) pay to learn/for the consultation? For the former which I think is very cheap and I don't mind as I've learned everything but for the latter one, I am considering to go or not to see what I can learn for a more expensive one.
