Construction Account - Long Term Contract

Hi, have one accounting question regarding Construction Account.

If a Construction or Engineering Company has a project of a few years, lets say 3 years, how should we do the accounting and calculating the profit/loss of the year - by Percentage of Completion Method?

It is called Exempt Percentage of Completion Method? How is the format for it? Any idea where can I search it because I failed to get it online.

We have to calculate it in T Format?

Direct cost to date + Estimated Cost required to complete contract + Percentage of Overhead cost = Sales Value of Contract

How do we fix the Percentage for the Admin Overhead cost to be attributable for the project?

Next question is, how long can we put amount of Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors in the accounts before transferring to bad debts account?

Anyone know which phone has this application other than CSL?

Eg : During incoming calls or outgoing calls, we can press voice recording than its automatically save the audio file, in mp3 or wav format.

Heard people said Nokia E71 can also, its?

One of my client were asking me this question :

Can a black listed person (almost bankruptcy) / already bankrupt person to open a bank account in Bank Simpanan Nasional?

How about FD in the bank?
And can CRIS/CTOS check that you have a FD Account?

Because if blacklisted, the bank will automatically freeze your account and you cannot take back your $$ right?

Any info?

Addition of Mandatory Public Holiday

Anyone heard before that the new info from the Labour Office that there is an additional mandatory public holiday from 4 to 5 days.

Which means the employers are requires to grant from the minimum 10 paid public holidays to now 11 paid public holidays.

Addition of Malaysia Day - 16th September each year.

Checked in Labour Office Website - His Majesty Government's Gazette.

Anyone aware with this?

Dear All,

As stated in the Employment Act 1955 :

No. Of Years Of Service Annual Leaves Entitlement
< 2 8 days
2<x<5 12 days
>5 16 days

My question is :

If work more than 2 years, it is a MUST for the employer to add another day of annual leave for the staff?
Eg : A already worked 2 year, coming to the 3rd year. First 2 years, his annual leave is 8 days, so now, 3rd year, it is the same 8 days or the boss my add another day becomes 9 days?

How if the employer never add any additional annual leaves?

It is common for employer to increased annual leave entitlement as a reward for loyalty to the staff, but it is a MUST or not?

Question Regarding Business Stuff

Scenario 1

Company A is a resident company in Malaysia who provides stuffs like food, beverages, medicines, general stuff to foreign ships who stops at Port Klang.
Its like a trading company but not selling to others but only ships, because these ships need to travel and they will stops by Port Klang to get their necessities which they already ordered from their country.

Lets say one of the ship, from Company B, a India's Ship went bankrupt, and taken over by another company C.
The previous outstanding bills has not paid by Company B to Company A.
When the ship stop at Port Klang again, can Company A ask the suitable government/custom to hold the ship not letting them out of Malaysia until they pay the bills?

Scenario 2

Same like above, its just that when Company B didn't goes bankrupt, only change directors, and still have outstanding.
Then can Company A ask the custom to stop the ship from going out the country until they clear up the debts?
