All was working fine until today. When I switched it on, there was a continuous series of beeping sounds. It is regular, and sounds &quot;beep........beep........beep........beep&quot; continuously. Nothing appears on the monitor. No hard disk activity. The PC appears to go through the boot devices in the BIOS, because I can see both my CD drives lighting up for a while. The beeping only stops when I switch off the computer by pressing the power button for more than 4 seconds.<br /><br />I have not added/removed any new components in this PC. It successfully started two weeks ago without any problems.<br /><br />What could be the problem here? I presume the BIOS is telling me something by the continuous series of beeps? CMOS battery dead? (even if the CMOS battery was dead, wouldn&#39;t the PC at least start up, and flash a warning while booting?)
