Looking at kopitiam posts, a lot of bazaar prizes are quite unreasonable to the point of getting a fried egg for rm4.50

ILP Vs Standalone insurance

Really confuse about which insurance plan is really better in the long run. Basically my need is only medical insurance.
Saw a lot of comment in and out of lowyat that basically suggest to not take ILP and take medical only as it is cheaper monthly.

If we do projection, ILP will pay itself when you are 60 years old. After 60 years old, medical insurance will increase significantly whereas ILP you are still paying the same amount since day 1.

ILP = Life + Medical addon
Standalone - Medical only

Total amount of insurance paid:
my age-60 - RM80k
my age-60 - RM70k

my age-70 RM150k
my age-70 RM90k

If we choose ILP plan then of course you will be locked to that plan for the rest of your life whereas for medical only plan you can upgrade/change to a better value plan if available.

Would like some advice on which plan to actually take? Is there any catch for ILP other than higher monthly cost?

Car wax newbie help

I'll ask here since car detailing subpost is not really alive

New to car detailing here. Assuming my car color is dark and metallic paint and got old wax on top. Is my steps below correct for applying wax? Any improvement to be made?

1) Wash car with "Soft99 Neutral Shampoo Creamy Type - Quick Rinsing & Compound In"
2) Rub car with clay bar "Soft99 Surface Smoother Dark & Metallic" and water as lubricant
3) Rub car with "Soft99 New Meta Clean Liquid Wax" to get rid of old wax
4) Wax car with "Soft99 Extreme Gloss Wax Black Hard Wax

As you know, someone bought an x50 with just RM2000 salary, which half are already given to loan.

I see a lot of Chinese are actually supporting this kind of thinking where purposely buying something expensive, getting huge loan to "uplift" yourself to the next level. So you will work harder to get more money.

A lot of 50-60 elders I talked to also have this kind of thinking. Even if you earn more than 30k+, buy more things until you feel stressed to earn more money, basically having low cash flow at all time.

Though a lot of ktard suggest to buy car based on your salary (12x month)

Which kind of thinking are actually "correct" in your opinion?

Struggle to agree with this kind of thinking myself.

How to enjoy exercise?

See online that a lot of people find that they get a nice feeling after exercise.

Have tried for a few months, I just do not feel that my stress is relieved after my gym session. All I feel is my heart and muscle pain, and my leisure time after work is reduced.

FPS stutter in lots of modern game

Current system:
I5 10400f
B460m pro4
8gb X 2 3600mhz (max 2666mhz due to mobo)
Rtx 3060ti
Nvme drive
Hyper 212x
1440p gsync compatible monitor

The game that is encountering either low GPU usage or/and very high cpu usage are
1. Cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS and ray Tracing turned on. Once turn on ray tracing (just the basic turned on, so the lowest ray tracing setting) CPU usage is very high 80-100% with my gpu sitting at 50-60%. Very noticeable inside the first night club
2. High on life - stutters here and there especially on combat. High cpu usage also
3. Witcher 3 next gen update - very stuttering with high cpu usage especially with a lot of NPC. This is without ray tracing turned on
4. Plague tale requiem - GPU usage is low and CPU usage is damn high when in the scene with 9999+ rats. Damn laggy.
5. It takes two - will just stutter non stop no matter which setting I choose. Don't know if it's game problem or not

No issue with older games like fallout 4, tomb raider, etc

Is 10400f really that outdated that it can't keep up with modern high fidelity AAA game anymore?

Or is there anything I should check?

Stress test shows that the CPU package lower is at 68W, max temp 60C and max boost 4.0GHz. Can run both prime9t and furmark with no crashes. Shouldn't be an issue from PSU

My 3dmark score s comparable with online benchmark scores

Maybe it's time for me to upgrade my CPU? Lol

Homeopathy Scam or Real?

The story starts like this: My friend's mom went to see a nutritionist who supposedly had a PhD in food science and studied nutrition, TCM, and homeopathy. She was very multitalented.

The nutritionist does not trust modern medicine and only trusts natural remedies.

The main goal for the mom in seeking out the nutritionist was to "remove toxins" from her body.

At first, the nutritionist recommended eating meat once a week, but eventually switched to a vegan diet.
To my surprise, the nutritionist then recommended homeopathy to "remove toxins" from the body.
It's worth noting that the nutritionist was also selling the homeopathy medicine."

When the mom took the homeopathy medicine, a skin condition appeared on her palms and legs. It looked like eczema and appeared to be open wounds with pus. It seemed quite painful and she was unable to recover due to the fact that she was still consuming the homeopathy medicine.

According to the nutritionist, this was normal and part of the hard path to remove toxins from the body

However, according to a testimonial from one of the mom's friends, the friend also took the homeopathy medicine and experienced the same skin condition. They were only able to recover after stopping the medicine for a year. They said that this was a very hard path to remove toxins from the body and not everyone could take it. The friend's skin became very nice after the skin recovered according to the mum.
I'm not so sure I can truly believe in the effectiveness of homeopathy.

Not only that, we recommended that the mom conduct an allergy test, but the nutritionist strongly forbade her for some reason. We suspected that she may be allergic to some of the things the nutritionist recommended her.

Honestly, I don't know what to think about homeopathy. Is this how it is out there?

Travel mirrorless camera recommendation

My budget is <RM6k

I have looked at Fujifilm camera but a lot of models have been out of stock everywhere. *I'll look at 2nd hand option
So I have settled with Sony and fuji
Which choices are more sensible for travelling purpose?

1. Sony A6400 + 16-50mm f3.5-f5.6 kit lens + sigma 30mm F1.4
2. Sony A6400 + sigma 18-50mm F2.8
3. Used Fuji XT3 + sigma 18-50mm F2.8
4. Used Fuji X-S10 + sigma 18-50mm F2.8

I'm open to other lens choices. Around 2k budget for lens.

No.1 give you better portrait at F1.4 but mediocre wide angle shots due to kit lens quality
No.2 give you good quality wide angle but less appealing portrait shot

As an ex DSLR holder, my goal is to have a camera light as possible when traveling while being able to get good shot.

Would love to know your opinions on this.
