Annual Leave

I checked the Employment Act 1955 and it stated that:

1) Less than 2 years service - 8 days Annual Leave per year
2) Between 2 to 5 years - 12 days
3) Above 5 years - 16 days

Now I believe that the above is applicable to normal/lower level/non-executive staff.

How about Manager and Senior Manager level, what should be a suitable start and the subsequent increment conditions?

I was originally on Streamyx Combo + Voice 28, then I change from Voice 28 to Voice 10 last month. However, I am still waiting for the free Dect phone as advertised. Already checked with TMpoint 2 weeks ago and today, and they can only say in process of sending by courier.

Just wanted to know anyone else took up Voice 10 and whether already got the free Dect phone.

Vista network problem

Anyone has problem connecting a Vista machine to a XP network? Have search the web for answers and followed whatever guides and tips available, but I just can't seem to get the Vista machine to see the XP network. Also can't connect to the printer shared using XP. However sharing the same Ethernet connection, the Vista machine can connect to the Internet vis Streamyx.

Modem Splitter

The original ZTE ADSL modem splitter gave problems last week whereby the modem cannot get signal but the phone line can, and the Telekom technician told me to change one. The problem is that even with the new one, when using the phone, the modem cannot get the signal. The modem signal is only available when the phone is not in use. To my understanding, the ADSL signal and the phone line run simultaneously and not interfere with each other.

Could it be the new splitter is no good? Anyway to check a splitter? Or is the problem with Streamyx/phone line?

Massage chair

I'm curious as to which brand of massage chair in the market is the best. Almost all brands claim to be No. 1, but general perception is that Osim is the most popular.

I'm considering whether it is worthwhile to get one of those chairs where I can go home and enjoy after a hard day's work, watching Astro. One of my main worry is if the chair breaks down, will it be costly to maintain especially after the warranty period.

All salespersons say their chair is the best and everything no problem.

USB to PCMCIA/PC Card Adapter

I am looking for a "USB to PCMCIA/PC Card Adapter", cos new Dell notebook comes with Express Card slot, while the Maxis 3G Connect Datacard only comes in PCMCIA format. Have called several shops in Low Yat but none have it.

Hoping someone knows where I can find one, and the price if possible. Thanx.

Windows Welcome Screen

My colleague's notebook XP is having a strange problem, upon booting up will go direct to Windows Welcome Screen, but the usual square icon with the username is not there, therefore you can't click anything, just stuck there but can "Shut Down" and "Restart". Tried "Safe Mode" but also same thing. In simple term, just cannot go into Windows Desktop. Anyone with a solution to this problem?
