Canon Pixma 145 Printing Problem

Hi

I am having problem as in the papers are picked up by the roller in stacks and the printer does not print the next sheet as a message appeared that there is paper jam. Lately, for around one month I have been using the printer very extensively for studies purposes. I used a mixture of printing papers like paperone, tesco brand and some cheaper brand. I noticed that subsequent to me using the cheaper brand mixed with paperone for the same printing purpose, I encountered many instances of the paper not picked up and "paper jam" problem appeared on the screen and I had been adjusting the papers in the feeding tray each time it happens and also the clasp for the size of the papers.Then I thought it may be due to the slightly different size of the papers and it worked fine if I only use paper one and did not use a mixture of the papers at the same time. Bt then now I have this problem of one big stack of papers going in at the same time and the next thing is a paper jam message appeared. May I ask help from any one who is familiar with this problem? I have lost my manual and I have called Cannon service centre but they have only ask me to sent in for checking and can only let me know the problem later( not on the spot) but I am very much in need of the printer immediately for my studies. Thanks.
