Broadband Recommendation in Johor Bahru

Hi,

I need help/feedback on deciding which broadband to go for. Will be moving to Setia Sky 88 in JB and they only have Fiber@Home (http://fiberathome.my/) available there. I tried to search for reviews online and found this: https://www.facebook.com/pg/myfiberathome/reviews/.

I'm looking for a stable and fast speed (able to get at least 70% of advertised speed most of the time) for work and torrenting, estimate around 100GB total usage per month (maybe less). Will use this for home. I'm still undecided, should I try my luck with Fiber@Home or should I go for mobile broadband instead? Been reading up on Digi Infinite Postpaid but worried about network congestion. Saw that in a certain area, it was so bad and wasn't even able to get 1Mbps during peak hour. Just don't want to subscribe and get stuck with a plan that's bad for 12/24 months.

Should I go for:

1. Fiber@Home
2. Digi Infinite (I checked the coverage map, it showed 4G+ available indoor)
3. MaxisOne Go Wifi (Only tested using Hotlink but was able to get good strength 4G)
4. Yes 4G (I checked the coverage map, it showed 4G LTE & Broadband available)

Anyone in JB can give feedback/help/suggestion?

Problem with New PC

Hi,

Please help me. I have no idea what's wrong with my PC. I'm building another PC; I have a spare motherboard (with built-in graphic card), processor, RAM and DVD-RW so I just bought a new HDD and casing.

The problem now is that when I ON the PC, my monitor is blank. The last time I check (which is 3 weeks ago), my motherboard still working fine. Did I do something wrong? The processor fan is spinning but there's no sound coming out from my motherboard. Usually there's a beep every time I ON the PC. Below are my specs:

Motherboard: Biostar NF6100
Processor: AMD Sempron 3000+
RAM: 2x 512MB Corsair 533MHz
HDD: Seagate 320GB SATAII

Can proxy solve my problem?

Hi all sifus out there. I need your help. It's like this. My work needs me to log in to auction website in NZ but now they didn't allow ip outside NZ/Australia to log in. If I still log in from Malaysia they will closed my account. I need to log in everyday and now I'm doing my work using VNC but it's really a pain in the ass because it is lag.

Can I use Australian/New Zealand proxy to log in to the website? Do you think they can detect proxy? Which software is good to set up a proxy server? Please help me~

Format New Pc

Hi,

Sorry if I post at the wrong section. I don't know where else to ask. I just bought new pc yesterday and I'm wondering how to format the pc? Is it same like normal format? (Insert window cd and follow the instructions?)

This is what I do. I insert the window xp sp2 cd and the pc will boot from the cd. Then I will enter to Window Setup. There it said Press F6 if I want to install third party or Raid device, press F2 for ASR. I did not press anything and it show Setup is loading files (Windows Executive) I wait for 20 min and nothing happen. Keep restarting and try again but still the same thing. It's not moving at all. What's the problem here? Is it the cd or my cpu problem? I had tried with 2 different window xp and still the same. Really appreciate your help.

Sorry,I'm a noob.So here's my problem.I want to play LAN game with PC B but PC B cannot see the game that I host.Both pc can connect to internet and we can share files but we cannot play LAN game.So what's the problem here?What should I do so that we can play LAN game?Please help me.

Using streamyx modem to connect to Lantech router both pc obtain ip automatically.
Both pc running Window Xp Pro SP2.
