Good day travelers,

Recently my wife and I got invited to a 4D3N stay at their Phuket Vacation Club, and of course, we sat through their 3hour presentation.

The concept is that we join their vacation club, every year the company will top up credit to our membership and we are able to book hotels/ resorts under Mariott umbrella at a lower price until year 2056 (iirc)

We declined the full package as both my wife and I aren't ready at the moment financially but at the end we signed up to an "Encore package" where Mariott will retain the package offered to us for 2 years to reconsider, while crediting mariott bonvoy points and invite us for another stay at their Phuket villa.

I am creating this topic is to connect with existing members/ ex members to gain an insight on your experience with Mariott's vacation club.

1. plethora of elements
- homosexuality, money laundering, politicking, espionage, family drama, and etc

2. interesting development of relationship between characters
ruth langmore & marty, marty & wendy, buddy & byrde family

3. female character empowerment
female characters carried the whole story. no joke. characters wendy byrde, ruth langmore, and the cartel lawyer helen (menacing af)

4. never a relaxed scene
as many reviews state, we watch ozark for relief, so that our problems in real life dont look so difficult

personal opinion:
1. i dislike the cold, grey filter for making the already depressed story more miserable

commendable points: not a single wasted character, everyone carries the same weight throughout the whole drama, a very intense, heavy drama.

verdict: 7/10 recommendable if you are up for a heavy drama

1. poor villain
a bully with no clear direction of what he wants to do other than just "making the city better". A totally irrelevant one.

2. bad writing
so bad and sluggish especially si botak speaks with mdm gao in mandarin. their conversation have totally no isi at all, extra af.

commendable points: the main chick is cute, and the side guy is somewhat funny, action sequence is entertaining.

verdict: forgettable. will not continue watching coming seasons
