Hundreds of Men Break Into An All-Women’s College

In an incredibly horrific incident that befell an all-women’s college reported by India Today, a group of men gatecrashed a cultural festival that was filled with women, with the intention of sexually assaulting them. Occurring in Gargi College, which is one of the most prestigious colleges to be located in New Dehli, the scene unfolded as a group of men were filmed trying to scale the college gates.

In the video, which has been circulating social media ever since the incident happened, men can be visibly seen climbing into the closed gates of the college while female students gathered for their college’s annual culture festival.

According to students of Gargi College, the men who scaled the gates of their campus weren’t students from other colleges, but rather middle-aged men who seemed completely drunk.

“There were drunk, middle-aged men harassing us, molesting us and masturbating at us… I was groped thrice by a group of men inside that crowd and when I screamed they laughed…”, one student said.

Another student who spoke to India Today anonymously also recalled seeing trucks that were transporting groups of men to the college, before they managed to break into their campus at around 4.30 pm that day and molested the female students present.

What’s worse is that apparently during the whole episode, their school’s own security authorities did absolutely nothing to stop the men from molesting and assaulting the female students! Instead, they merely watched on as more men started filling the campus grounds. How awful!

“The college had hired bouncers for security. The security personnel were also standing right there and watching it all. My friend, who was molested, rushed to a security guard and pleaded him for help but he did not move,” another student mentions.

Students have since held protests against their college for not protecting them from instances of sexual crime, especially given the obvious breach of security and complete neglect by their own security staff. It is said that the New Dehli police have already detained 11 people associated with the case.

It is unclear at this point as to whether more will be arrested, but the matter has since sparked a huge social media debate over Twitter, with many wondering how an all-women’s college could allow something like this to happen.

We hope that those who are responsible for these crimes are held accountable for them!

https://www.worldofbuzz.com/video-hundreds-...sault-students/

Mamaks in Kelantan Have to Close early

Mamak shops are literally our life savers when it comes to filling our hungry tummies in the wee hours of the night. Especially when you want to have a late night hangout session with your friends, you can always trust mamaks to be open as some operate for 24 hours!

Unfortunately for Kelantan, the Kelantan State Government has just announced that starting 2020, all restaurants and roadside stalls can only be open until midnight. This includes mamak shops as well!

Source: The Star

According to Sin Chew Daily, this is because they want to reduce social issues among teenagers like drug abuse, vandalism, alcohol abuse, fights and other kinds of misconduct.

Chief Minister of Kelantan, Ahmad Yakob, said that restaurants and other food shops that operate after midnight are one of the reasons why young people often go out late at night.

Therefore, he believes that limiting the business hours of the restaurants will help to solve the social issues among young people.

Source: Cempedak Cheese

“We intend to implement the regulation whereby night activities do not exceed 12pm,” he said, according to Malaysia Kini.

“So we ask all government employees to give their full support while the local government (PBT) reviews to reduce the attractions for young people to go out at night.”

https://www.worldofbuzz.com/starting-2020-a...uce-misconduct/

Ah Long want to post nude pic

KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed woman is living in fear that a loan shark might post nude images and videos of her online.

The woman, who only wanted to be known as Lee, 33, said she lost her job and had turned to loan sharks to settle her outstanding debts.

"The loan sharks then started chasing me to settle the loans," she told reporters at the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department (PSCD) on Thursday (Sept 12).

She said that when she could not settle the payments, one of them offered to turn a blind eye and also offered her cash if she posed nude for him some time at the end of last month.

"He took me to a hotel and took several videos and pictures of me and told me I did not need to worry about payment. He also gave me RM100 cash," she said, adding that she was now worried that the man might use the images and videos in order to blackmail her.

Lee said she got into this mess after she lent RM9,000 to a man she met online.

"I met Kevin three months ago and he claimed to be working for the oil and gas industry.

He told me that he needed RM9,000 to pay for chemical products for his business, and I lent him the money. We met on June 6 and he promised to propose to me on his next visit at the end of this month.

"I tried to take a RM30,000 loan from two money lenders named Apple and Jessie via Facebook, and they demanded I pay processing, legal and tax fees in advance before they went ahead with the loan.

"They told me that I would go to jail if I did not make these payments.

"That was when I went to the loan sharks and borrowed RM14,000 to settle this payment," she said, adding that her family had already forked out over RM50,000 to help her settle her debts.

PSCD head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said he believes Lee was actually a victim to a love scam and that Kevin was a fraud.

"Now, she is in so much debt and we have advised her to lodge a police report on the matter.

"We have received four similar cases this year involving losses of RM118,000," he said, urging the public to not be so gullible.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2019...sB7LsHX2Fs7M.99

Vietmoi deport back

KUALA LUMPUR: A Vietnamese woman, who has been receiving commissions for recommending “clients” to a loan shark, is now being forced to pay RM230,000 after the borrowers were deported back to Vietnam.

Kim, 21, and her Malaysian husband CJ, 29, are now being hounded by debt collectors.

They are even threatening to go after CJ’s parents for the money even though Kim did not act as a guarantor for the borrowers.

One of the debt collectors had sent a WhatsApp message to CJ warning there will be no more chance to talk if he did not “come out and discuss”.

image: https://content.thestar.com.my/smg/settag/n...lotame/tags=all

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said it looked like the information was obtained from the Road Transport Department.

“These details are supposed to be confidential. How can the debt collectors get this? Who was it from JPJ that gave them the details?

“I tried calling the debt collector many times but there has been no response until now,” Chong said.

Kim had introduced 12 of her fellow countrymen, most of whom were guest relations officers (GROs), to the loan shark – a 26-year-old Vietnamese woman.

The 12 Vietnamese borrowers, who are believed to have been nabbed by authorities in May, have since been deported back to their country.

The Ah Long then engaged debt collectors to go after Kim and her family.

The amount borrowed by her friends were RM193,000 but the “interest charges” pushed it to RM230,000.

Kim previously received RM400 in commission for every RM10,000 borrowed from Ah Long.

“I told her (Ah Long) I never wanted to be the middleman but she kept insisting because she did not know the borrowers,” said Kim.

She got to know the Ah Long, who is also married to a Malaysian, in December last year via a group chat.

CJ said he was not even aware of his wife’s activities until debt collectors came knocking on their doors in Bukit Jalil recently.

Chong urged the debt collectors to be “more professional” and not to harass CJ’s family members as they had nothing to do with the whole issue.

This is Chong’s 194th loan shark case this year, involving an amount totalling RM17.3mil.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...RrWdDfm3FoTD.99

Kidnap from Airport

Jincai Chen, 39, landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 6 in the evening after a short-haul flight from Hong Kong.

But shortly after leaving the plane she was followed by four Chinese men dressed in black and one Thai woman.

CCTV next to a walkway shows Jincai walking with two of the gang who are holding her by the arms while another in a red shirt is a few paces ahead throughout the abduction.

The gang usher Jincai through security checks before two more men dressed in black join the group at the luggage carousel.

Shockingly, police said the gang received help from ten Thais - including a top immigration cop inside the airport - before demanding 15 million baht (£348,000) in ransom money from Jincai's husband.

The disturbing crime - committed inside the secure area of the airport - only emerged after her husband paid 10million baht (£232,000) but refused to stump up the rest and called police on May 18.

Jincai - having been ferried to hotels and rented rooms across Thailand - was finally dumped on the roadside in the Bang Na district of Bangkok on May 19 at 11pm.

Pol Major General Surachate Hakparn, who is leading the investigation, said four Chinese people, a Thai woman named Wansikan Termthanapat and up to ten Thais, including an unnamed Police Senior Sergeant Major from the Immigration Police Office, were involved in the abduction.

He said: ''Arrest warrants have been issued for four Chinese suspects who have already fled Thailand. They are Wenqui Sun, Ming Song, Dongliang Sun and Meiling Kai.

Jincai was held captive for 13 days
''We know the identity of all the suspects and will be tracking them down for their involvement in the crime.''

Police said they received a complaint on May 18 from Jincai's husband, Han Young Lim, who is of mixed Chinese and Korean origin with Tanzanian nationality.

Han told officers he had already paid 10million baht in ransom demands to the gang but then they asked for another 5million.

CCTV footage from inside the airport was used to track the suspects, who were found to have fled to hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Rayong.

They allegedly returned to Bangkok on May 19 before dumping Jincai on the roadside at 11pm then catching flights out of the country.

Pol Major General Surachate said: ''Officers became involved on May 18 and launched an intense operation. This put pressure on the gang who then released the victim.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6348611/femal...ting-off-plane/

SINGAPORE: A 66-year-old man lost control of his vehicle while sneezing, which caused him to crash into the road divider along Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

The impact yesterday afternoon dislodged a lamp post, causing it to nearly topple over.

Debris from the car was strewn over two lanes of the road.

Retiree Abdul Rahman Hassan said he was on his way to pick up his three-year-old granddaughter from her kindergarten in Upper Thomson Road when the accident occurred near Braddell MRT station at around 12.40pm.

No other cars were involved.

He said: “I had a loud sneeze and then I realised I hit the divider and lamp post. I was not scared. Accidents can happen.

“Anyway my car needs to be scrapped next year. If I can’t repair it, I will just scrap it.”

A cobbler in his 60s, who wanted to be known only as Yong, said he heard a loud screech followed by a bang.

“I didn’t see the collision, but I was shocked by the crash, as it was very loud. Many people were curious and went to take a look.”

Sales executive Muhammad Hafiz Khamzah, 21, was making a U-turn at the road junction when he heard a loud crash.

“It was so scary when I heard the crash.

“My heart stopped, but luckily the uncle is okay,” he said. — The Straits Times/Asia News Network

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/regional/20...KrbjU9EPujBm.99

JOHOR BARU: A 59-year-old father wanted his son to have the wedding of his dreams, so he borrowed RM5,000 from what he thought was a licensed moneylender.

A few months after signing the loan papers, the father, identified only as Pang, had trouble repaying the loan and started getting threatening calls.

He said some thugs, believed to be working for the moneylender, came to his house in early March, locked the front gate and splashed red paint on the wall.

Pang, a technician, is now living in fear for his and his family’s safety.

“I wanted my son, who is 31, to have a nice wedding,” he said in an interview.

“So, I decided to go to a moneylender because borrowing from the bank would take time. They told me that for a loan of RM5,000, the repayment was RM1,350 for eight months which came up to RM10,800.

“I thought they were a licensed outfit and took up the offer without realising that the interest rate was very high.”

Pang did not have any problem servicing the loan until he lost his job in December. He could only afford a partial repayment of RM1,000 in January.

Since he could not take the harassment, Pang lodged a police report in Nusa Bestari, Iskandar Puteri.

Asked why he went to a moneylender who charged interest at 14.5% per month, he said he thought it was licensed because it had an office and proper signboard.

Pang also said he was not given a copy of the loan agreement.

“I hope the police and Bank Negara can investigate this company,” he said.

In another case, illegal moneylenders are believed to have broken into a house in Taman Nusa Bayu, also in Iskandar Puteri, and stolen jewellery and cash worth thousands of ringgit several days ago.

It is learnt that the victim had almost paid off a loan of RM3,000 but the loan sharks wanted payments totalling RM10,000.

The burglars ransacked the house and splashed red paint inside the house.

When contacted, Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Nor Hashim Mohamad said police were investigating both cases under Section 5(2) of the Money Lenders Act for offering moneylending services without a valid licence.

He urged the public to stop going to ah long for quick loans and urged anyone with information to call the police hotline at 07-511 3622.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...EHf5yBmv9RLB.99

American businessman admitted

PETALING JAYA: The American Businessman and his Kazakh wife who were last seen with Ivana Esther Robert Smit, admitted to having a threesome with the Dutch model who was found dead on Dec 7 last year.

Alex Johnson, 44, and his wife Luna, 31,admitted that they had sex with Smit three weeks earlier and on the day she was found dead.

Smit had fallen to her death from the balcony of an apartment in Jalan Dang Wangi.

The Johnsons also admitted in an interview with British tabloid Daily Mail that all three of them had been drinking heavily and that Ivana had been taking drugs.

The couple had met Smit at a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur in October last year, where they were introduced by a mutual acquaintance.

“She asked me to stand up and dance with her. We weren’t kissing, but we were doing sexy moves,” said Luna.

“She was beautiful, charming, confident. I was already melting,” added Luna.

The three of them even set up a WhatsApp group among themselves, which contained explicit flirting.

They had a threesome in a five-star hotel in November.

On the day Smit was found dead, the three had been out all night partying before coming back in the wee hours of the morning.

The Johnsons’ daughter got up and Luna says she and Smit had breakfast with her.

“Ivana was hammered. I kept talking to her as I got my daughter ready for school. Ivana lay down while I took her there,” said Luna who went out for about 30 minutes.

Luna said she returned, her husband and Smit were on their bed, although Johnson was asleep.

After that, both Luna and Smit got intimate, before Luna went back to her bedroom where she lay down with her husband.

When she came out of the room at about 10am, she found Smit ‘wandering around, talking to herself and giggling.

“I was so tired after all this partying. At 10.15 I went back to the bedroom. When my head hit the pillow, I passed out,” said Luna.

Luna said she then woke at 1.25pm and saw that Ivana’s clothes, shoes, bag and phones were in the lounge/kitchen, but thought she had vanished for a photoshoot.

The Johnsons were then woken up by the police at 5pm.

The Johnsons have maintained innocence in the matter, saying that there were footprints on the balcony and on to the top of the air-conditioning units.

Johnson said he has received numerous death threats since the murder claim was publicised, and claimed there was even an attempt to kidnap his five-year-old daughter:

“A man phoned our nanny, Maha, saying he was Luna’s father and would be picking her up from school. Luna’s father died before she was born.”

“We never intended to make the details of our marriage public. Now we fear our own lives are in danger, and we have no choice,” he said.

On Sunday, Smit’s family lawyer also told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that the teen had sex in the hours prior to the discovery of her body.

According to an online portal, he said this was based on “new information” that was corroborated by the findings from the second post-mortem conducted on Smit in the Netherlands.

Lawyer Sébas Diekstra added that pathologist Dr Frank van de Goot, who carried out the second autopsy, had previously detailed finding “male DNA” in Smit’s body and held the opinion that it likely occurred in the last hours of her life.

“In the Netherlands, you can be prosecuted if you commit sexual acts on someone who is unconscious or under reduced consciousness,” Diekstra told the daily.

De Telegraaf also reported that Smit family spokesman Fred Agenjo believed his niece was not in control of herself nor her actions in the hours before her death.

“There were huge amounts of drugs found in Ivana’s body. She was no longer competent.

“If anyone still had sex with an 18-year-old girl who was in that condition, that’s not good. They should stay away from someone under such circumstances,” he was quoted as saying.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...VR2MVU9ovSLv.99

Aceh penalty

BANDA ACEH: The conservative Indonesian province of Aceh known for publicly caning gays, adulterers and gamblers is considering the introduction of beheading as a punishment for murder, a top Islamic law official said.

Syukri M. Yusuf, the head of Aceh’s Syariah Law and Human Rights Office, said the provincial government has asked his office to research beheading as a method of execution under Islamic law and to consult public opinion.

“Beheading is more in line with Islamic law and will cause a deterrent effect. A strict punishment is made to save human beings,” Yusuf told reporters. “We will begin to draft the law when our academic research is completed.”

Aceh is the only province in Muslim-majority Indonesia to practice Syariah law, a concession made by the central government in 2001 as part of efforts to end a decades-long war for independence.

image: https://content.aimatch.com/default.gif

image: https://content.thestar.com.my/smg/settag/n...ht_ALL,all,tsol

Last year, the province for the first time caned two men for gay sex after vigilantes broke into their home and handed them over to religious police.

Yusuf said if Syariah law is consistently applied, then crime, particularly murder, will decrease significantly or disappear.

He said punishment for murderers has in practice been “relatively mild” and they could reoffend after release from prison.

He pointed to Saudi Arabia as an example to follow in practicing severe punishment for murder.

Indonesia has the death penalty for crimes such as murder and drug trafficking, which it carries out by firing squad.

Its last executions were in July 2016 when three Nigerians and one Indonesian convicted of drug offenses were shot on the Nusa Kambangan prison island. — AP

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/regional/20...VeZGe1iOcmOA.99

SINGAPORE: An unemployed Singaporean, who was banned from entering Malaysia, repeatedly used his younger brother’s passport to enter the country and did so with his sibling’s permission.

Court papers did not mention why Chong Teck Sian, 55, was not allowed to enter Malaysia but said he went across to buy illegal drugs.

Teck Sian, who pleaded guilty last month to three counts of mischief, two drug-related charges and one count of using Chong Choong Siang’s passport to travel, was jailed for one-and-a-half years yesterday.

Six other charges, including three more for using his brother’s passport at the Woodlands Checkpoint without a reasonable excuse, were taken into consideration during sentencing.

Choong Siang, 54, a hotel cleaner, was jailed for six months yesterday.

He pleaded guilty last month to one count of handing over his passport to his brother to allow him to travel.

Three other charges for similar offences were taken into consideration.

Deputy public prosecutor Jason Chua said Teck Sian learnt in November 2014 that the Malaysian Immigration Authority had banned him from entering the country.

The court heard that he later discovered that he could pass off as his brother as he resembled the photograph on Choong Siang’s passport.

He asked his brother to lend him his passport and the cleaner agreed.

Teck Sian then illegally used it to travel to Malaysia on July 28 last year.

He went to Plaza Pelangi shopping centre in Johor Baru to buy a packet of ketamine for RM240.

Chua said Teck Sian usually consumed the drug before returning to Singapore.

But this time round, he dropped the packet of ketamine by the side of the driver’s seat and forgot about it.

The drugs were later found in his car on Aug 15 last year. — The Straits Times/Asia News Network

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/regional/20...lEwjJmlKXE0w.99

SERDANG: A total of 40 sets of computers and equipment worth around RM600,000 were stolen after a shop used to mine bitcoins was broken into by four men.

It is learnt that the store was broken into between 12.40am and 9am on Thursday (Jan 25).

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said the shop’s owner discovered that a padlock on the store’s front door was damaged when he arrived at about 9am.

“The computers for bitcoin mining were stored on the third floor of the shop.

“The shop owner claimed that the computers used are owned by his friend, who had placed the computers there on Tuesday (Jan 23),” he said when contacted.

He added that CCTV footage showed four men breaking into the shop.

“We also collected 22 fingerprints,” he said.

To get new bitcoins, miners use special software to solve math problems. It’s a process that gets more and more difficult, requiring ever more powerful computers to crunch the numbers. A lot of electricity is consumed and a lot of heat is generated during the process.
Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...U8rQVZWM8cld.99

JASIN: A man who fled the country, apparently to avoid a court case involving a fatal accident, is back on police radar after he updated his Facebook and Instagram with pictures of himself living a high life in South Korea.

Police are now confident that justice will finally be served in the case where four women were killed in a car crash on Jan 23, 2015.

Ida Dollah, 46, her daughters Siti Rohana, 23, and Siti Rohani, 18, and her mother Saimah Wahab, 77, were killed on the spot when the Kancil they were in was hit by a car head on.

That car was driven by the man in his 20s, who was allegedly travelling at high speed.

Initially, a magistrate’s court let the driver off the hook, but police appealed at the Sessions Court.

Jasin police were facing a dead end when the driver failed to respond to court subpoenas requiring him to attend the hearing in Ayer Keroh.

Two months ago, Jasin Traffic Department investigation officer Insp G. Gunaaseellan was tasked to track down the absconder.

On Jan 9, Jasin police issued a statement asking the man to contact them, even listing his last known address, but did not receive any response.

They also tried to get his number from his friends and relatives, only to be told that he left the country almost two years ago without leaving any contact detail.

The police finally resorted to tracking him through his social media footprint, and hit the jackpot when they found he had posted photos of himself in South Korea on Instagram and Facebook in the first week of January.

The slew of images showed him at posh restaurants in Seoul and posing beside luxury cars.

With the help of the Immigration Department, police tracked the man’s travel history.

They found that he was a frequent visitor to South Korea and had been living there since February last year.

DSP Arshad said police were making the necessary arrangements to bring him back, including applying for a warrant of arrest.

“We are confident of nabbing him very soon,” he added.

The victims’ sole remaining family member, Abdul Ghafar Said, 52, was thankful to Jasin police for reopening the case.

The fisherman said he had almost given up after the man did not turn up for the Sessions Court hearing.

“I lost my two daughters, my wife and my mother-in-law and even the hope of getting justice for them.

“I was relieved when police told me they have managed to trace him. I thank them for giving me good news,” Abdul Ghafar said.

Melaka Transport and Project Rehabilitation Committee chairman Datuk Lim Ban Hong praised the Jasin police for their relentless efforts in the case.

“This has sent out a strong message to the public – no one will be spared if they breach any traffic law,” he added.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...PSXHVfrpiIuC.99

KUALA LUMPUR: Argentinian Alexandra Avalos is in Malaysia looking for her daughter Alum, who was brought to the country by her ex-partner.

The 27-year-old Avalos said that she left Alum's father, 41-year-old musician Jorge Gabriel Langone after seven years of alleged abuse, adding that she took Alum with her.

Avalos then added at a press conference at the Argentine Embassy here that Langone turned up at Alum's school in Argentina hours before the court granted her full custody

She said that Langone and another woman - Candela Soledad Gutierrez - then brought Alum to Bolivia and later to Malaysia.

Avalos quickly contacted the Argentine Embassy here, which reached out to police and the Immigration Department.

Meanwhile, Argentine ambassador to Malaysia Manuel Balaguer Salas said Malaysian officials had informed them that the trio had entered the country illegally through the Johor border.

“Interpol has also issued an Amber alert and a red alert for them, and we hope to catch them soon,” he said at a press conference here on Wednesday (Jan 24).

Alum, Langone and Gutierrez were last seen in December last year in Kuala Pilah, and were said to have been heading to Kulai.

Avalos, who arrived here two weeks ago, spoke to Kuala Pilah locals who said Langone claimed they were a Spanish family and that Alum had even attended a kindergarten here for 10 days.

Helpful Malaysians she encountered had also claimed Langone had worked part-time at a bar in Mersing for a while.

Avalos is now appealing to Malaysians at large for new information about Alum.

“I have nothing to say to him. I want nothing to do with him anymore. As for Alum, I can only hope she knows that I am looking for her. I will never stop looking for her and I love her very much,” she said.

Anyone with information about the case are urged to inform the police or contact the embassy at 0122012464.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...UfGKjgR6DpGZ.99
