Safety Net: Should I Just Sign The Job Offer?

Hello guys,

I have a problem here.

I got a job offer from company A, which offered me the same salary with my current company but with slightly better fringe benefits.

In the same time, I have another offer pending with better salary and better fringe benefits from company B.

The problem is, the offer from company B was just by phone conversation while for company A, they've already send me the softcopy of their offer.

Company A want me to sign their letter offer by next week while company B's process to documented their offer to me could take between two to three weeks.

I've already resigned from my current company by mutual agreement.

Should I just signed the offer from company A as safety net and declined it later after I get the offer from company B?

Legally and morally, is it going to be a problem for me?
