Need help on SSD and RAM

got some question and need sifu's professional opinion to solve my problem

i got a asus a42jv lappy, and im thinking to change my HDD over SSD, and i saw LYN ppl selling Cosair F120 Force 3 (120gb) SSD sata3 @ rm595 (is this worth?) coz others brand are way too expensive compare to this.

ok back to topic , i know my current a42jv only support sata2, if i change that sata3 ssd over my hdd will it be function? or will just drop to sata2 level? (coz i'm thinking to change my lappy few month later, and i will replace my new lappy with current SSD, that's y i dont want to buy a sata2 SSD )

and another question, actually i'm editing wedding video on this lappy, and i'm thinking to upgrade my ram too, current is 4gb, if i wanna upgrade to 8gb, its better i go for performance ram or normal ram? (if performance ram which brand and model should i go? izzit different a lot between performance and normal ram?)
