[WTB]My PC build and need guide and price !

actually i planning to buy a new desktop pc (DIY), but i looking for offer for whole set PC
but i dino wheather i combine they all correctly or perfectly or not, therefore i need some 1 guide me ^^

My specification ( FOR GAMING) :

- Intel C2D E8400 3.0 ghz

- Kingston value RAM, 4 x 1 GB (DDR2 800)

- Seagate or western digital HDD with 250 GB, 16 mb buffer memory, SATA

- Gigabyte EP35-DS3L motherboard

- Gexcube 3870 X-Turbo 3 512 MB DDR4 O.C edition

- LG 19" wide W1952t

- casing (any below RM 150)

- DVD-ROM and DVD-RW are not necessary.

- Power supply, i dono wat is the recommended power voltage supply, is it 500w is enough? And i just need a cheap and nice 1, no need beautiful, i prefer performance

- speaker, is it good to take Altec Lansing V4121?

- Keyboard and mouse no need also.

thats all the specification for dream PC

Lag with DELL inspiron 1420 laptop (just bought) !

i just bought this laptop around 3 week, and it come with freedos. i had install XP service pack 2 (32-bit)and fully updated it with microsoft official website. All driver been downloaded and installed, all driver downloaded from DELL official web site. i facing some problem with this laptop when playing game or doing normal stuff, so i need someone or expert to help me solve the problem

DELL inspiron 1420 specification :

- intel C2D T5750 2Ghz
- 3 GB ram in 667 mhz
- 160 Gb HDD SATA
- intel grahic X3100

the setting i use for configuration for Bprotect is all default except full screen mode is selected and auto save replay had been disabled.

1)sometime the mouse cursor will freeze( actually is screen freeze) by using touchpad and optical mouse for 1-2 second. No critical program running. Antivirus(Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0.1.325) just use less then 20% of processor usage to scan startup program. even finish the scanning still will screen freeze sometime. once a while.

2)sometime will lag like open My Computer or My Document, control panel also, the lag mean when open the My computer, the windows wont show up (or pop up) immediately, mean it will show up a uncomplete windows(like open many windows or internet explorer in a lousy pc or antique pc ), then wait a while only will show out the complete windows.

3)when playing dota by using Bprotect in flying spaghetti monster, it will lag in AR mode (when random choosing hero), and lag 0.5 sec few time before creep spawn (before 2 min). after creep spawn will lag a while for around 1 sec.

4)most of the time when i open the forum which is got visual effect like low yat forum, cari forum and even flying spaghetti monster forum web site, when i open 3 - 4 windows for either 1 website will lag, some time is freeze. And i have 1 best web site i will lag all the time is DELL website when i keep add on the download list, i will give the link,

5)it will lag when i installing game or any software, mean the when i move the mouse cursor, it look like heavy and lag spike.

6)It will lag with the website based like forum. when register with or fill in the blank, this kind of website will lag when scroll down, it will lag a while for 1-2 sec or freeze. after smooth for few second, scoll up or down again, will have same problem !!!

P.S

- the video setting is no related with the problem i post above, i tested it. even in warcraft 3 TFT, i also tried with different video setting and details setting. but same problem will occured also.

- No background program running, except anti virus aotu update, but it wont related with this problem because i try the quit the anti virus but still will lag.

- Same problem after install windows (without driver and any program) and after install everthing (installed drivers and software program)

- all drivers are latest.

- laptop din overheat, and no overclock.

- i din install SATA driver because i cant found it on DELL web site and no SATA driver cd given.

- Windows XP SP 2 32-bit (5.1 build 2600) genuine

- i also have problem with my fren new desktop (DIY), specification in below :

C2D 2.x ghz
2 gb RAM ddr2 533 mhz

160 GB HDD

Intel motherboard (forget model)

MSI 7600 GT 128 MB

this desktop also using same Windows XP sp 2 CD and fully updated through microsoft official web site. This desktop din install SATA also (if i not remember wrong)

got someone can give me a hand to solve this problem

DB 102 DSL modem settimg problem

[Streamyx] Need help with PPPoE &BT, Bridged settings, dead mode

I got my 1.0Mbps connection yesterday and I fiddled with it, and screwed up my connection in the process. So, I, um, need helps guys.

1) Dead Modem
I have a 'dead' modem. It's a Riger DB102, and only its Power and PC LEDs are lighting up. The Link and Data LEDs are off. There's no way for me to test the Data light without getting online in the first place, so I'll leave it alone. But, the Link light is supposed to light up when the modem is powered up. (FYI, I'm running on a different modem using the same Streamyx account to post this.)

I am also unable to get into the router's webpage (192.168.1.1).

All this happened happened right after I rebooted the modem into PPPoE mode. Previously, I had rebooted the modem quite a few times, switching from PPPoE to Bridged modes to test out settings, and I had no problems.

Resetting the modem didn't help, unless there's more to resetting than just pressing the button in the tiny hole behind the modem that has 'Reset' written above it.

2) Abysmal BT speeds with PPPoE
This was the major reason I kept playing with the modem. It seems like PPPoE mode gives me around 2~4kbps instead of the high 80~100kbps download speed I get with the default Bridged connection.

Switching the modem to an Aztech DSL600EU sorta helped. Sometimes, the speed is still as sluggish as ever. Sometimes, I get a boost to 14~15kbps. Oh wait, I just checked, it's now in 30~40kbps region. All of a sudden, uTorrent found peers and seeds for my torrents. For 44 minutes before that, most torrents were Seeds 0(0) and Peers 0(0).

3) PPPoE connection likes to die...
...in a way. When running in PPPoE mode, after a period of surfing, the connection will become sluggish suddenly. Then, I can't even load webpages. I have to reconnect every single time this happens. BTW, it's a DB102 problem. I've yet to experience it on my Aztech (but I've never used the Aztech with this account until today).

On Bridged connections, the speed is fast and the connections do not taper out and die.
