            <title>unix/linux starter questions</title>

            <description>hi guys.. ive wanted to learn unix/linux because it is applicable to my jobscope but i dont know how to get started..&lt;br /&gt;ive read around and noted that ubuntu is good for beginner...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;yes there&amp;#39;s installations instructions but it still confused me...  can i instead get an ubuntu cd/dvd somewhere and install it without much hassle or where to download it ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i googled and yes there&amp;#39;s ubuntu&amp;#39; dl websites and all, but when i scrolled it, it looked a mass alien thingy to me...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href='http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop' target='_blank'&gt;http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href='https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements#Recommended_Minimum_System_Requirements' target='_blank'&gt;https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installat...em_Requirements&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;there&amp;#39;s various versions, different bits and all, i duno which one is &amp;#39;legit&amp;#39; or sufficient enough for my basic understanding of it.. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;thx any sifu for help</description>
