Nintendo Switch Demands Beats PS4 In Malaysia

More Gamers In Southeast Asia Looking To Buy A Nintendo Switch During Lockdown – Less So For Xbox One

With the current pandemic still ongoing, many of us are staying at home. And naturally, it’s a good time to invest in a video game.

A study by e-commerce aggregator iPrice Group has done an analysis of 1.5 million searches made on online shopping websites spanning across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Hong Kong. The study compares the trends from February 17th- March 19th to March 20th-April 20th. The latter is when most countries begin practising social distancing and staying at home.

During this period of time, there is quite the demand spike for Nintendo Switch throughout Southeast Asia, up to 245% overall.

For Malaysia in particular, the rate of searches for a Switch in Malaysian online shopping platforms increased to 176% during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period. Four other countries with the highest demand for a Switch are Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, and Hong Kong.

The high demand is why you may see sale price for Nintendo Switch has risen- from the usual RM1500-RM1700 to RM2299.

What’s more curious is that in the top 3 in-demand consoles for each country, three countries do not have an Xbox One on the list. Malaysia, Indonesia and Phillippines has so low of a demand for an Xbox One that it got beaten by searches for a PS3- a previous-gen console. Which speaks to how much presence Microsoft has in this region.

The PS4 is consistently in demand in all seven regions included in the study, and tops the charts for Vietnam and Indonesia. Vietnam saw the biggest spike in online searches for a gaming console- at 432%, followed by Singapore 241%.

As the title mentioned, I'm looking for 27" IPS 1440p IPS panel, and I'm eyeing Acer VG271UP right now. Is it a good buy? My budget can be go till RM1.8k, initially I was planned to buy LG 27GL850, but no stock already.

Should I go for Korean Cars?

Hi all,

I'm planning to sell off my Viva of course currently looking for any car to replace anything below than 90K.

One of the car that I'm very interest in is Kia Rio. But the problem is I have no idea how reliable of Korean cars.

I'm not concern about RV, as long the car serve me well without any major problems I'm okay with that.

So the question is:
1) Does Korean (KIA or Hyundai) car is reliable? In terms of quality of parts & engine especially
2) How bout maintenance? How much does it cost roughly? Is it way more expensive? My brotha lucky much with his very cheap Almera maintenance
3) Or do you guys have any other suggestion than above in terms of quality and affordable maintenance & parts cost? I would love to go for Japs, but seems like is lil bit boring with features they offering

I'm planning to buy a laptop that durable, high quality, good for media and gaming. Customer service is a plus. Budget below RM2300.

Astro Issue, Building Management Makan Duit?

Hey guys, I'm not sure I'm post at correct category or not, just would like to rant one thing.

I living in Dkiara Puchong Apartment, with Astro that connected to their centralized dish.

Recently I have upgraded to Superpack, due to a bit cheaper with more channel plus HD.

But the centralized dish I connect rite now is not HD and some more certain channel I can't watch. I call Astro, they said can able to assemble individual satelite dish for free but they advise me to contact building management first.

I go to their office they said to me that don't call Astro, straight away call their Astro Contractor.

After that I tried to call their Astro panel, well they said I need to pay RM300 to connect to their HD Centralized.

So my problem is, how to overcome this problem??? Should I call Astro to call their technician for free? But is it Building Management allow me to do that? (Since I saw my neighbour using individual dish also)

Please need u guys thought on this.
