Port In to Maxis taking a really long time

Hi guys, I'm not sure if you have encountered this before. I recently purchased a phone under Zerolution contract and requested to switch from Celcom to Maxis on 2nd Feb Friday. The staff told me it will take only 1 day for the port out request SMS to come from Celcom. It's now 7th Feb Wed, 5 days since my purchase and still no port out SMS from Celcom. Tried calling Maxis hotline, but they told me there was no port in request made for my number. They double checked it again, and confirmed there's no port in request made. They then told me to go back to the branch where i purchased my device and check with them instead. I can only go back there somewhere next week, but has anyone of you faced this before, anything i need to be aware of? I have port in a few times to different telcos before, and this is the first time I faced this kind of issue.

Help! Keep getting 0xc000000e errors

Hi sifus,

Really need your help here. I have been getting random BSODs a few weeks back and since yesterday, the 0xc000000e error screen. Accompanying the error code is the message “Your PC needs to be repaired. A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed.” I have googled and tried everything from resetting bios, fix boot command prompts, enabling startup repair, etc, and I’m still getting the error screen.

One thing I do notice is that it happens every time I’m halfway gaming or doing graphic intensive tasks. My PC would be quite toasty to touch. Could it be the heat affecting the ssd? This is my build if it’s any helpful, I have had this build for about 8 months:

Ryzen 7 high temps

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been asked before. I have just built a new Ryzen 7 2700 pc with stock wraith spire cooler installed. With settings on auto by default, temps were fine at 52c idle and running cinebench at 68c. I'm using HWmonitor btw.

So I tried oc to 3.7GHz with 1.35v (tried 4.0 but crashed in cinebench) and I'm getting temps up to 110c. Is this normal? Or should I just leave everything at auto instead? This is my first built pc so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

How to comfort ex-GF

I have been with my ex for 1.5yrs before we broke up. We still remained friends after that, and we kept in touch. One thing is, almost everytime we chat its always about how busy she is at work, and feeling very depressed about being alone. And I as a friend just listened to her and tried to comfort her the best I can. Everything was fine.

Then last night (a year later) she asked me if we can get back together coz she misses me alot and how I was the best guy she had met. I felt sorry for her, but I stood my ground and told her that I'm sorry but I have moved on. Then she told me how bad her life has become, the types of guys that chased after her, and feeling suicidal. And also very desperate. Aiyoh, I tried every word to comfort her like a friend but to no avail. Big headache. I know we already broke up, but I still care for her as a friend.

Anybody can give advice on what to say? Just worried she might do something silly.

I'm not sure if this topic is worth pondering, but I'm going to try anyway. So I had a crush on this girl in college for 3 years into our studies. After graduating, I told her how I felt and asked her out. She said yes, so we did.

When we went out the second time, I had to know so i asked her if she feels the same about me? Her answer was a resounding no and she would like us to be friends for now. I was hurt and disappointed, but I respected her wishes and agreed.

I have been avoiding her for about a year since that day, stopped contacting her. Then Christmas came and I thought, hey its Christmas and I wished her. She replied and asked where have I been and why so silent nowadays. We chatted for awhile and she asked to meet.

I said ok, but I'm having second thoughts like what's her motive. After being hurt like that, I'm wondering if I should go ahead and meet her.

Anyways, sorry for the long story, I have to get this off my chest. What do you think?

Hi, is anybody here using 3dsmax 2014 on win 8.1(non-pro version)? I'm planning to buy a laptop soon and have to decide whether to go with win 8.1 or win 8.1 pro. System requirements recommends win 8.1pro, but I have used 3dsmax 2011 on win vista home basic back in college, and I'm wondering if I can install 2014 on the non-pro version of win 8.1. Thanks.

Freelance graphic design charges

Hello, I know this topic has been asked many times by forumers here, do you include printing charges in your invoices? I'm planning to start my freelance business soon, and asking around for guidance.

Here are my rough design fee estimates:

Name card - RM100
Letterhead - RM100
Brochure - RM300(A4)/500(A3)
Logo - RM500

These prices don't include printing, should I include in? Too cheap/too expensive, let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hi all sifus, I'm planning to get a new laptop soon and have been researching high and low for a suitable laptop for autocad and 3d rendering.

I found that almost all laptops within the rm2k-2.8k budget are using core i5u or i7u processors. Is it enough to run the softwares mentioned above? I'm asking coz its kinda rare to find i5m or i7m within that budget nowadays.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong thread, but I would like to clarify this within the notebook category.

I'm looking for a new laptop for Photoshop work and basic 3d rendering, when I came across this model in one of the dealer's pricelist here in Lowyat, selling at RM2299.
Specs are as below:

Core i5 4200H 2.8 Ghz
4Gb RAM
1TB HDD
Nvidia 840m 2Gb

I'm curious about the 'H', since I'm seeing almost all laptops nowadays come with the 'U' processor, fewer with 'M'. What's the difference between the three?
And running at 2.8Ghz seems too good to be true given the price.

Any sifus or owners of this laptop care to share your experience?

Graphics problem

Hey guys, I've been having this problem just today. My whole screen started going crazy while I was playing a game.
I thought the problem was the game I was playing, but when I checked my graphics card control panel preview, same problem. Has my graphics card malfunctioned?

Btw, I'm using Nvidia Geforce GTX 550ti.

I've just had my first date. It went well and we both had a great time. So, now I have 2 questions:

1) I'm looking forward to planning the 2nd date, but we'll only be free the week after next week. What should I do at the meantime? Should I call her every few days, or don't call her until I have a plan for a 2nd date?

2) I know its only been a first date. But I haven't told her that I like her. So lets jump into the future and "pretend" its already the 3rd or 4th date. My question is, if I am already started dating her, do I still need to tell her that I like her? I mean, its obvious right since we're dating, is it necessary?

Like the title says, does it matter what you and your date wears for first date?

I went out with this girl few days ago on our first date. We met for lunch, movie, walked around the mall... we had a great time together.
After we went home, she texted me, thanking me for the lunch and movie and that she had a great time.

One thing that bothers me however, was that she showed up wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and jeans, so my outfit was a little formal.
