Hi, which is better in terms of reliability, quality, etc?
Just want something fun to drive, reliable, easy to park, safe. Boot space is not a concern. Budget not enough for mazda 2.

Vios E or G spec?

Hi all,

Planing to get a Vios 2015 soon. Can't decide whether to choose E or G spec.

G
- Comes with security tint (rm1900) by Toyota. No need waste time survey tint price outside.
- Leather seats (actually I don't know this is advantage or not, is leather more high maintenance? And hotter during afternoon. Lol.)
-Disc breaks

E
-Also has push start
-Need to top up for tint outside (will cost me roughly rm2k)
- Cheaper by almost RM5600

Besides that, what tint is recommended? Something that won't give Smart Tag problem.

Does anyone know what brand of ram is considered "good"? Or what brand is not so good? And the pricing?

PhD (USM) or Master (National Taiwan Ocean Uni)?

Hi, hope someone can give some advice,

USM

1. PhD (Fast Track, skip master, get a Dr title), but also needs to commit for 3-5 years

2. Location- nice place, cheap food, my hometown anywhere, but after study so many years in KL, find Penang a bit boring, everything is a bit of expected

3. After graduating, need to work in Malaysia for 5 years, if get MyPhD Scholarship, any job, as long as in Malaysia.

4. Ranking- USM is 69 (Asia Top 200 University Ranking 2010)

5. Allowances- RM 1700 or RM 2300 per month depends on which scholarship

6. Supervisor- kind and good hearted, but dilly dally attitude, sikap tidak apa, can't even reply a proper email, promise to get the grant end of May, but until now still havent got it with no news, no reply..will have senior to help out too..capabiliy start to be doubted as easily get frustrated when talking to him...

National Taiwan Ocean University[U]

1. Offered a Master Programme, commit for 2-3 years, but I can continue to PhD if I want to be a lecturer or can just work with a Master degree

2. Obviously is far for me, will be my first time going Taiwan, but was told that should explore more and take this as an adventure during young time, also will be a good stepping stone in the future either to work or to continue to further studies in another country, easier compared to from Malaysia.

3. After graduating, need to work in a company in East Malaysia (Sarawak) for 4 years.

4. Ranking- NTOU 181 (Asia Top 200 University Ranking 2010)

5. Allowances- RM1000 / 10,000 Taiwan Dollar per month, the rest like tuition fees, accomodation covered

6. Lecturer/ Supervisor- unknown but was told that the university is famous for something to do with my research, new environment, no senior.

i think main challenges will be on the PhD programme, not so much about the environment if for USM, Taiwan will be a new adventure..

Master of PhD?

Hi everyone...I'm currently in a dilemma here.

I am planning to study my masters in Food Science, but was told that I can enter straight into PhD. The thing is, I'd need to spend at lest 1 more year extra for PhD, compared to masters.

So...I'm asking you guys out there, is it necessary to go for PhD? I'm not sure if I wanna be in the academic field in the future, so PhD might not be so relevant for me. Still, I'm open to opinions. Anyone doing/taken their Masters or PhD in Food Science or any other fields? What's it like?

Also, another thing to consider.

I can do my masters either by COURSEWORK or RESEARCH.

Been searching for pros and cons for both pathways, and still left feeling lost. Would really really appreciate it if anyone who's taken Master in coursework or research would care to leave some feedback here!

Hi guys....I'm having a problem with my computer. I can't seem to see some images, for example below. The image can't load, I only see lots of squares where the image is supposed to be.

This only happen with some websites...but still I'm really scared since I never encountered this problem with my old laptop. I only recently bought a new laptop.

Is it my laptop problem? Sad....
