What are your recommendations on sound cards?

Most mobo nowadays have built-in sound processors already, but if I were to do heavy-duty music / midi composing there are times the rig slowed down to a crawl

What sound card do you recommend, and why?

Budget, less than RM1K

I have been out there for decades, only recently I moved back to my motherland

The time when I moved out, the education system in Malaysia was already backward

As for the education system now - I am at a lost of word to describe the deplorable state of our education system

...... but never mind, that's not the gist of this message

The main topic of this message is in what way we can re-construct our education system, for the benefit of all

First of all, I am not an educationist - I am not in the teaching profession

All I can do here is to borrow examples of what others are doing elsewhere, that may be of use to help our education system

I hope you have heard of MIT - The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The examples I'm borrowing are from MIT

There are many reasons MIT becomes famous, one of the reasons is that MIT never stops looking for ways to improve itself

And competition is one of the ways MIT is using to keep itself moving forward

I was looking at the photos of the (SHE) Ella wedding and she had someone holding some kind of bamboo cover to shade her from the sun

And the paper was saying that the practice is a "Hokkien custom"

Any Hokkien Lang here?

You see, donating your organ might seems to be a good idea to many, but, how sure are you that when they cut you up and take out your organ, you won't feel anything?

And more importantly, how sure are you that you will NOT wake up after that doctor (might be one of the many "doktor buruk" we have in Malaysia) declared that you are "brain dead"?

Take the case of a 19 year old teenager in England - Steven Thrope

He fell into a coma - and the English Doktor Buruk told his family that he is "brain dead" and wanted to turn off his life supporting machine. Mr. Thrope's family had to stop that doktor buruk from turning off the machine.

Well ... to make the story short - Mr. Thrope wakes up, and now, he can walk, talk, eat, shit, like you and me

To those of you who have registered to donate your organ once you are "brain dead", think again

Maybe the time the doktor buruk declare that you are brain dead, you may NOT be brain dead. You may just be in a very deep sleep.

And before you wake up, that doktor buruk somehow has convinced your family that you are "brain dead" and you won't wake up no more

So ... that doktor gonna CUT YOU UP ALIVE, without giving you any anesthesia

You feel THE TREMENDOUS PAIN when that doktor buruk insert the knife INTO YOUR FLESH AND CUT YOU UP, and that is not all

That doktor buruk proceeds to CUT OUT YOUR ORGANS, ONE BY ONE, until you die

Since you have signed that organ donor card, that doktor buruk might also GOUGE OUT BOTH OF YOUR EYEBALLS !!

I was looking for all the past lottery results for the 3 main lottery outlets that operate in Peninsular Malaysia, from 1990 until now

I found the database file that contain the numbers and date for Magnum and for 4d Sports Toto, but still can't find anything from da ma cai
